Preferably just the lamp on. Purely because the light in our bedroom is right above my head and glares directly into my eye. No matter where you move on that bed, the light s_ines in your eye. |

In the old-er days, the phrase “shall I put the light off” was something of a euphemism for sex. Now, if something begins under the covers and in the darkness; the continuation is with the light most definitely on and sleep postponed for a while. |
