Looking at profile there seems to be 3 distinct cutoffs for upper age well round my way there are and they are 40 45 and 50 which is a shame at times but people have choices and you can't deny people to set age limits as the site has that facility. Im buggered next year im guessing  |

That’s like saying the Nepalese (or the Chinese for that matter) don’t celebrate New Year. They do celebrate birthdays, traditionally just not by the calendar day. In most cases now, the Nepalese mark the calendar day; especially with children. |

56 soon and the age filter has only been an issue when I made it an issue. You soon realise filters are there for different reasons; not always because they don't like people over or under a certain age, but more often than not to help manage the way they run their profile and these filters are often very flexible.
I use the block to manage filtering those that don't respond to a message thus showing they're 'not' interested. It's nothing personal but just filters them out of status updates and any future messaging.
This I occasionally review maybe 6 or 8 months later. They may be in a different place and respond to my message then if not then the cycle repeats. |

There are so many people on here with different age preferences so I’m sure there isn’t one reason for all. Personally for me I prefer 35+, but the next woman might only want under 30s and she’s damn entitled to! |

I don't have a problem with people having a minimum and maximum age on their profile as long as it's something like 40,50, 60, it's when people put 53, 61 etc why not round it up or down, personally I prefer more mature and experienced people and I certainly have no interest at all in young guys. |

Maybe because they haven't thought that far ahead for whatever reason. There's a 45 cut off and a 50 cut off too. We all have different ideas of who we are and what we expect in life as well as fab. Mine changes from time to time depending on what I'm looking for... its a filter to help and so it can be changed depending on needs or wants. |
