Most people i work with say I act and speak like a 50 year old at work.
Friends and colleagues who I go climbing and hiking with would say I'm more like a kid in those situations.
With fab meets I'm grown up but cultivate a young playfulness, it's hard to get right though |

I think you've hit the nail on the head. Maturity is about acting appropriately for the situation. Nobody appreciates childish behaviour at board meetings but then again Donald Trump was voted in... |

The way people act at a certain are is set by the people of that age.
As people are living longer and are generally stay fitter for longer, how people acted for any given age 20 years ago is different.
I don't recall seeing people my age dressed in lycra on sports bikes when I was in my 30s; they were on shopping bikes dressed like pensioners
So, do I act my age? Yes I do. As my age group (56 to 60) is fit, active and energetic... |

"I'm not sure how 53 yr olds are supposed to act.
I'm responsible I suppose but, other than that, what should I be doing?"
I might be wrong but I think it's that acting like an adult ie responsibly and appropriately is bad and acting like a child is good. So you should be doing that.
Remember youth is a highly valued commodity and looking and acting younger than you actually are is what we're all supposed to be aiming for.
I'm too old and too tired to be bothered |

Growing up is a trap!!
All my mates are off with wives and babies, running around getting mortgages, like, sensible cars and such like.
I'm still throwing parties, larking around like a teenager, no stable income and for the most part, loving it |

People call me grandpa because of the way I behave and the mentality I have. I’m not your average 28 year old. I’m a bit too mature for my age apparently.
So, those of you who would like to meet a GILF. Message me.

I act, pretend... whatever you want to call it, so I do not go crazy in this mad world.
Age is a number (blah, blah, blah) but each individual’s circumstances in general and specific situations in particular are what dictate the way we act.
Then, of course, there are certain special moments when we just act any age we want like just because we can... or just because we need to.
