There is no normal as we are all individuals. There is a collective normal which has rules ie ticked box identity. Then there is a social and cultural normal which we may or may not force ourselves into. Does that answer the question |

normal
what is that ?
a word whose meaning is different to everyone
it includes and excludes
everything that is different should change
to become normal
therefore we strive to be different
better, richer, more beautiful, individual
different, not like others
in a word, normal
because if we are all equal nobody is special any more
but, if everyone is special, then everyone is equal
we want to be special, but treated normally
we want to love and be loved
we want to live
health, comfort, happiness and at least one smile each day
and everyone else ?
they want it too
but what we want is right
what they want is void
what we want is normal
what they want does not matter
although we are normal, the others are outsiders
grid, model, plan, that is what we created
those who don't fit must change
that is why we create boundaries
because who wants another human among us humans ?
---
normal
what is that ?
a word that laughs at the question 'is it the human or the norm that is faulty?'
through individual use 'normal' becomes the definition for everything
however, normality is created through differences

"My opinion .....you can get lost in this site which means everthing and nothing
The true reality of a normal person is totally lost
"
I genuinely have no idea what normal means. I find that the people who I have met who consider themselves normal are utterly bizarre. |

Normal is subjective.
The definition of the term varies greatly depending on each individuals perception of what normal is.
One person may believe something to be normal when it is in fact considerably irrational.
Who first defined what 'normal' was?
Who decides what it is now?
How do we know that these definitions are in fact normal at all?
Where did the word normal come from? |

Normal is just what is acceptable by society.
What is acceptable in the fab world, won't be accepted in a work place (generally)
So as previously mentioned normal is subject to the situation and or society that you are in at the time. |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
"the clear message is those individuals who are adamant they are different
....sorry your not ...your still chasing the same thing but with different masks ....this is your Norm,
my other question is why is the behaviour on this site normal and acceptable ?
"
My perceived definition of what's Normal for me can be such that society would classify as non-Normal.
So "I'm not normal" is an entirely valid answer, and you're in no position to blithely override it to suit whatever underlying point you're trying to make.
In answer to the last question, what's normal within the boundaries of a particular subculture is completely acceptable to that subculture - by definition. |

Yes, entirely normal and this site encourages normal behaviour... for this situation.
Normality has a very wide range and I think we kid ourselves if we think we don't fit somewhere on that range.
There are very few true individuals in the world, that takes courage. |

"I so thought this was going to be a somewhat niche thread about Ned's Atomic Dustbin's second album!"
Lead singer used to live near me, met him on several occasions and enjoyed a beer or two. Great bloke!! |

It terms of what we are all chasing we are normal.
Most humans if they were honest would love to have more sex, with different people, and try different things...so we are normal, there are just some of us who want to be thought of as eccentric and most just aren’t.

"Does this site encourage normal behaviour ? "
Define normal?
Is it normal as in the big wide world or is it normal for on line behaviour you have to ask your self. I don't think the site itself encourages anything apart from good behaviour though it does draw in the lonely, the frustrated and wannabee attention seekers. Does normal even exist I wonder. |
