I was there on day 1 planting, visited several times with my children through the display, and was back there at the end removing.
I actually shed a few tears when I broke one pulling it off the metal pole.
My own poppy has pride of place in my living room. |

We have poppies up all over our village and they were my mum's favourite flowers. Strangely they were out up the weekend that it was a year that my mum died. Will be wearing my poppy with pride for service people and my mum |
