Just as well mine are occasional use if I think I’m getting a bollocking or meeting people who might wear one.

I recently went for two interviews, one with recruiter, one for a perm role

I intentionally didn't wear a tie or smart trousers

I told the recruiter I didn't want putting forward for roles where a shirt & tie were a necessity

As it was, she found me a couple of roles, but I was also offered the perm role, where 'smart casual' is standard workwear
