If you have it to lose, suck it up

If you don't, you'll get over it

If you don't and it's becoming a regular thing, seek help

To answer your question, I'm not a gambler, but like many people, I have the ability to make money disappear as quick as it comes in

Nope

After my hubby’s stag do they went to the casino. He didn’t play any money but he eventually came home at 6am. Him and his friends left their friend behind, who was up by £600. He paid for their taxi home, and when he left he was up by £2000

Wow. That’s a lot of money.

If you’re losing money you can’t afford to lose, it might be time to get some help.

Hope you’re ok. X

Only rarely do I gamble, but when I do I set myself a limit and take the view that's already gone - I've spent that money to be entertained...if I walk out with anything more than that (never have) then it's a bonus

Most I've ever lost was 5p on the national my grandad bet for me many years ago. And the odd £1 on the lottery. The most uninteresting way possible to throw money away.

If you can afford it and it doesn’t cause an issue, it’s up to you how you get your thrills and spend your money.

My problem with the gambling industry is that it’s in your face all over tv and sports endorsements - and despite the ‘Gamble Aware’ warnings they just want your money!

Most people may have the odd big win - but in the longer term the losses accumulate.

For many it becomes a problem - and can destroy lives!

Gamble responsibly and have fun!

You seem to suggest you can afford to lose £1,500 and not worry about it, if so good for you! For the average person, yes, losing £1,500 in two nights is indeed crazy!

I have never understood the 'fun' in gambling. Always seems I may as well chuck tenners down the street. Someone might be honest enough to return them, but mostly they won't.

It’s the adrenaline rush isn’t it? Will the outcome go your way or not!?

Great if you have the internal fortitude to be able to control yourself and limit it. It’s when you lose control and start chasing losses that the problems can start

Way I see gambling losses is just the cost of having fun, I have it to lose and am pretty good with not running a loss. I set whatever I’d be happy for the night to cost me and if it gets down to that, I leave with no hard feelings.

It’s only a problem if that money isn’t disposable, or if you can’t walk away.

Hope you had a fun night anyway.

Not just you OP, casinos are expensive businesses to run, and they still make huge profits. So lots of people have to lose.

Smartest person at the poker table will always be the person who owns the table.

Snap only reason I go into a casino now is to play poker would never touch a roulette wheel unless I was dealing but then again I don't want to go back into the industry

Hiding in the shadows

I play cards online occasionaly , but the only time I've played Roulette in a casino, on holiday last year.

Last night we all went in, I was judt watching a couple of friends.

One had a little win & gave me a stack of chips £50

I won on every spin & we split my £4k winnings.

I'm glad it was the last night or I may have been tempted to go back

To some you're crazy.. there will be others that have lost as well and tthey'll be seen as crazy as well.. if you're gutted my question would be why?

I'm not a pariah who abstains from all vices ..I've been to casinos, I've been horse racing I set myself an amount of money I was prepared to spend (lose) and enjoyed my night out or day.

My question would be

Did you enjoy the night out ? Gutted suggests you didn't. I'd find another way to spend a night out.

Maybe give the casino a miss for a bit if you are that unlucky. I am sure with hindsight you could have spent your money in a far better way.
