I know someone who was on pof but gave up as he never had any luck.
He then put up a fake profile pretending he was a rich business man. Well you can guess the rest.

PoD is a dating site. If someone is looking for a relationship then I would have thought given the choice of two similar profiles, a broke guy or someone who looks solvent then the sensible option for a materialistic person would be the solvent guy.
I go for honesty rather than money but whatever floats your boat.
Don't think that makes those women "hookers"...
