When were kids we used to spend a bit of time up the old Elmdon (now Birmingham) Airport, shoplifting and generally just causing mayhem. The kind of things kids just wouldn't get away with at an airport nowadays.
They used to have some pay tvs in one of the lounges and one night we stuffed a couple 10 pence pieces in to watch the Specials on the OGWT. I think our adolescence met our youth that evening but by the end of it they parted, never to be seen together again. I don't ever remember being a spotty nosed oink being chased by airport security again but I do remember taking a passing interest in the Specials, and many more bands since. |

Lol watching OGWT, in a previous life, sitting in a hotel room at airport, bags packed about to go somewhere, somewhere where people were going to be shooting in my general direction- ‘be really unlucky if they actually hit you’ - nd I didn’t have anything to shoot back with!
I remember The Police were on. |
