Is your sexual performance ‘on point’?

I’ve read a couple of veris describing aspects of a meet as being ‘on point’. Both times by men about women. One comment was about the woman’s hip thrusts, another about a woman’s lingerie. Both times grated to me, reading a little too much like marks out of 10.
Has the use of ‘on point’ changed subtly recently?
Would you be happy with your sexual performance being described as ‘on point’? |

I thought that term was for eyebrows... |

I would take it as a compliment |

"I fuck how i fuck like it or lump it but its worked out well so far so im happy with it"
But would you be IK if someone described the fucking as ‘on point’? Compliment or slightly measured description of sex? |

"On point" is actually "en pointe", and a ballet term. Anyone that I know that uses is to mean good is likely to get a dig... Bloody stupid sayings these days! But yeah I get what you mean OP, is a bit of an odd statement when talking about a sexual encounter.
Sorry for going off topic, some things really get my goat! |

It seems kind of neutral |

Thanks. I was genuinely wondering if I misunderstood what it had come to mean. I had thought it was a US athletics term. I hadn’t put it and the ballet term together.. |

No, I wouldn't want to feel like I'd been subjected to, tested and compared against some kind of regulation or standard. Is there as set of universal FAB standards? The quality of sex is something very subjective and bespoke to the dynamic between the people involved. What next an EBay style feedback system. Things like this sort of dehumanises us all. |

There and to the left a bit |
"On point" to me, rather than being associated with the ballet term, is more a business speak term suggesting something is living up to or meeting expectations as in "sales figures this month were on point for this time of year"
So to have the way I had sex described that way would seem a little cold and clinical at best, and bordering on insulting - I'm not there to meet anyone's expectations, I'm there to have a mutually satisfying time. |

That was the feeling it gave me, a little to much like Len holding a card up with ‘9’ on it. Good, but with a suggestion of critical evaluation.
I should add that I don’t know the evaluators or the evaluated. |

"Is this a US/UK difference? Where’s Rudeboy when you need him?!"
Cambridge English Dictionary has it as:
"on point" (informal): as good as it could be; perfect:
e.g. My hair was on point
Still an odd way of describing sex though |

So actually a REALLY GOOD compliment! It just somehow doesn’t feel like that.. |

We have an objective set of standards and scores for our meets (/10). We don't tell them their score, but we tell each other. I know instantly from the score whether Mrs Broken wants a repeat meet or not. |

Well we don't need a multivariant analysis since we set our own weightings for the various criteria that we have agreed. But i can confirm there is a spreadsheet. I know that "wow, you're a new entry at #4" doesn't sound flattering, but it really is if you saw the full list. The standard to even enter the top 10 is tough. |

En pointe means to be up on the point of your toe, and nothing to do with performance. |

"Better than it being described as 'What's the point'"
haha that was funny and true ....
I think we live in a world where everyday we have to walk on egg shells hoping we dont offend, the English language is by far the best language in the world and what make it so good, is that it grows... new words formed from old words yet having the exact same meaning or even bad words moved from being negative over to a more positive format and made up by a new generation.
Obviously the opposite can and does apply but were talking about being on point...
being great...very good...superb...knowing your shit.
It was said and meant as a compliment, so take it for what it is... |

With that much data you could start predicting which fabbers are best to meet, where they are most likely to live etc. Appogy it and flog it to help us avoid the fakes.. |

"Perhaps they did it on tiptoes and meant to type en pointe."
Well that would make total sense of the ‘her hip thrusts were en pointe’ comment.
By George Sir! You may have it! |
