Nowt wrong with Xmas for those that want to celebrate it, but why why why start putting all your tacky shit up in shops when it's only turned October ffs |

One thing I can't understand is how can one day last 8 months. Shops start selling Christmas cards as early as July and once Christmas day and new year have past they start advertising for next Christmas through to around February. |

People need to be prepared for it, spread the cost etc |

I’ve just booked my work Christmas do, deposits paid, it looks really good. I hate the ways the shops start with it so early tho, but then people who are well organised like to start early I suppose. |

I have quite a few presents to but and I can't shop for too long or carry many at one time, so I take weeks buying them.
I don't like online shopping unless it's something too big to carry or something only sold online that someone wants.
I like to get as much done early so the couple of weeks before Christmas I can go shopping and enjoy the atmosphere. |

I get the fact some people don't like Christmas till December but for many where cash is tight they have to plan round it and budget over a few months. Isn't it better that some shops start early so people can buy things over a few months rather than ending up resorting to loans in December. |

Went for a meal last month in Bristol and the pub had a dressed Xmas tree with lights flashing ..glittery tack.
I got slightly annoyed and the annual grumpy old man emerged..ffs it's meant to be 12 days not 112. |

I'm thinking it's about time we rolled the whole thing into one day.
Morning... mince pies out in the shops... Ahhh the little baby Jesus was born... open the presents, serve the turkey... then
Afternoon... shops put out hot cross buns... kill Jesus... celebrate... chow down on Easter eggs until you slip into a coma
Then it's all done for another year |

Bristol East |
I went into a Boots in Bristol last weekend, looking for a traveller adaptor.
"Sorry, we have just cleared all that stuff away to make way for the Christmas stuff," said a member of staff.
Eeek! |
