Love the sopranos but not too sure about this. I'd be more interested if it was a prequel TV series rather than a film.

It is a prequel. The director said it wouldn't work with the actors to carry on where they left off x

Yeah I read that it's a prequel, Tony's dad I think, but I think that would have worked better as a new TV show rather than a film.

Alan Taylor. He's a TV director, did some excellent episodes in the series and game of thrones. David chase, the creator, is the writer.

My family is Italian so loved watching this. It's more real than you think my dad still gets called Tony because of this programme

we Always thought that the ending of the programme left the opportunity for a film on the table, sadly James Gandolfini’s death ruled that out. Best tv programme ever!
