When you've been preparing yourself mentally for an op and it gets cancelled, that's the second one (for different procedures) this year...

Have you called the surgiacal or appointments department? i had one moved twice this year, the second move was to about now- when work is really busy. Gave them a call and had a chat and they managed to fit me in a few days later

That sucks.

If it's nothing too complicated my mate Dave can do it for £50?

That's horrible. It happened to me too. I was scared enough as it was and if they'd cancelled a second time I would have have just run away from it.

Our daughter was actually in a hospital gown about to be prepped when they cancelled. She was awfully upset.

I had a major operation cancelled twice because my blood count was too low. It went down to 7.3 and had to be over 10 before they would operate.

The problem was I was losing so much blood every month I couldn't get it back up, so had an intensive course of iron tablets for a month until it got to 11.

After my OP they wouldn't discharge me until they had checked that my level was at least 10, and that took 2 days.

I know the feeling. They keep on cancelling my cock extension op because the donkey keeps running away

I guess you can't blame him

You should come over to the Midlands, there are some FAB nurses in the operating theatres here!
