Thanks Lexi - appreciate the tip, but having been on here fora fair few months I've only just put an open face pic. up as my profile photo due to not getting a lot of interest prior to then. Almost all of the success I have had has been down to attending socials. Not complaining but it is a bit of a minefield to get things right, despite plenty of advice in the forums. My suspicion is that the numbers game is the only true constant. (Just an observation). |

Hiya! Not very often - almost all of my meets have been due to attending socials (which I find out about on here, so not saying Fab isn't a good thing by any means). When I have had the occasional reply we've had some right old chats, even if it hasn't resulted in meeting - which is lovely in itself - but replies are a rarity. Not meaning to sound like one of the moaners, was just an observation that however I've set up my profile, or whatever I've shown r.e. photos it's made no difference in terms of a success rate. Nothing - I've never had expectations. I don't subscribe to the arguments from those who get nowhere on the site. Plenty of people on forums advise it, but it's up to the individual to work for them. All I was saying was that messaging has largely proved to be a complete waste of time in my experience , whereas attending socials has been successful. It was a positive comment. I have no 'entitled' attitude to this. If you saw it as a negative you read it the wrong way. |
