I've got a rant.......
7 months ago I went to the funeral of one of my very best friends. He was one of three brothers and we were all really close friends. We drank together, worked together, shared the good times and looked out for each other in the bad times.
Next week I'm going to the joint funerals of the two remaining brothers who passed away within 8 days of each other.
We always hear that there's someone worse of than you.
Yes there is, it's a grieving devoted mother who's burying all three of her wonderful sons within a few months of each other.
My rant is at incurable illness and fate.
Wicked wicked brothers in crime.
*shakes fist

Oh my god, that is so sad. That poor lady, no one should have to attend the funeral of their child, let alone 3 within a few months. That's heartbreaking. Big hugs to you too |

What an awful thing to happen to her and to everyone who knew them.
Incurable illnesses are knobs. I hope the happy memories flow during the day.

Whoah, puts petty disputes on a casual sex site into perspective doesn’t it! I agree - what and awful thing for any parent to have to bury their child, one is tragic but to do it to three in under a year is horrific and unbearable. I don’t know the family (obviously) but I genuinely feel for them! |

I remember you posting about your friend and now his 2 brothers have joined him, that’s so so tragic. Their poor mother coping with a tragedy that should never happen, children dying before their parents. Life is so cruel, I hope their mother has family and friends around her to give her strength and support Big hugs to you |

In view of other rants... Mine seems quite petty, but it's still upsetting me that I've had to cancel my place at the MLS next week (not to mention flights, hotel, etc.) because of injury. I was sooooo looking forward to it |

It seems a bit wrong to rant or even have a discontented mumble when you get some perspective from others having truly, properly testing times. I'm gonna give my head a wobble and kick myself out of bed and start my day thankful of what I do have methinks. Jeez... a rantless thursday for me! |

Oh Stingly, sending love
I have some things to rant about
I don't really want to shout
It's just that things are a bit much
Family, friends, distance and such
The year hasn't been overly kind
And now rolling around my mind
Are feelings I tried to keep at bay
Rage, woe, grief and dismay.
Soz.
Just a day where you suddenly realise who is there and who is selfish.
People are fucking fickle.

"Don't let my rant stop the rest of you.
Thanks for the thoughts and the PMs. The funeral(s) will be epic.
Rant on people, rant on.
Much love."
Agreed
A rant in your world is still a rant
Taking a step back to put it in to perspective is never a bad thing though.

You’ve taken time
To add your words
And have them heard
People can be knobs without even realising sometimes
Others are just knobs

I'm ranting because I had a long conversation with someone a few weeks ago about my mum dying, and his parents dying, and he bloody forgot and asked if something was up this morning. A WHOLE CONVERSATION GONE.
I'll forgive him though, he is getting on a bit. |

After a contact lens related drama at the weekend, a trip to the GP on Monday being told I had a small scratch on the membrane & a conjunctivitis.
Yesterday spending all day in A&E, with blood pouring from my eye.
Turns out I have severe corneal abrasions, an infection (not conjunctivitis) which had spread to my eyeball & optic nerve.
The plus side, I may keep 50% of my vision in thst eye

I woke up feeling meh and have steadily become more and more arsey today. I’m brewing up to a rage I can tell but this and others posts does put it into perspective. I will give my head a wobble and cheer myself up. A good shag would sort me out tbh |
