I love the programmes about the gypsy weddings. By conventional standards all the outfits are inappropriate and bizarre, from the wedding dresses to the guests' clothing.

I giggle tho cos my own dress was big. Not as big as the travellers seem to favour and I could walk and be fairly comfortable in it, although I did need 3 people to help me go to the loo. But my dress was a big meringue type. I remember it catching on peoples legs when I was walking down the aisle.

I wanted to look like Glinda, the good witch in Munchkin land in the Wizard of Oz and I was very into the fairy princess look. I can't really blame the fact it was the 80s because I still haven't changed
