As an ardent feminist, every day I try and do something to smash the patriarchy. So today I'm educating bigots on how to use more inclusive language. The exiting thing is there are actually many options for you to broaden your vocabulary and show you are a gender ally. Here's the list:

zie instead of he or she

zim instead of him or her

zir instead of his or her

zis instead of his or hers

zieself instead of himself or herself

sie

hir

hirs

hirself

ey

em

eir

eirs

eirself

ve

ver

vis

vers

verself

tey

ter

tem

ters

terself

e

em

eir

eirs

emself

So which do you like the most? I have a soft spot for zie, it just sounds more Nazi Germany to me.

Misgendering people is a thought crime. Didn't you see the teacher and doctors who lost their jobs over it recently?

I'm all for gender neutral pronouns, however I think your list may be flawed. You're just changing the h of hers/ his to a different letter. Surely it's the ending that needs to change.

I, you, they, them, theirs, don't these suffice? Or... just actually ask the individual their preference.

I'm afraid you are mistaken.

I said... " you know how it goes"...

I referred to you as "you"... and in that moment, I gave you the option of deciding how you thought I was addressing you, meaning that in fact, if you decided that I was using "hate speech", then in fact, you were the one at fault.

I'll accept your apology in the form of a non-gender haiku.

you mean last year with the teacher and the doctor this year who stated biology?

personally i think the whole thing has gotten totally bonkers, we now live in a world where everyone wants to be called one thing or another and it offends them should anyone think differently to them.

sorry but welcome to the world we live in, as far as im concerned, go for it, call yourself whatever you want, class yourself how you want.

however simple facts, when a paramedic turns up to a life or death situation most people dont care about a label they wear, all they want is the emergency help provided. Would you get into a debate with a fireman as he carried you out of your burning property? or the police man whos just arrested someone for robbing you?

If you are the sort of person who can and will argue at those moments, then sorry you are a part of the problem and not the solution.

even now you are picking an argument over someone elses personal opinion which again is a hate crime... right or wrong we are all entitled to our own opinion.

Internet slang, a troll (/tro?l, tr?l/) is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses[2] and normalizing tangential discussion,[3] whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain.

Just gonna leave that here... Elizabeth Stanton would be proud

So talking about contraversial subjects makes you a troll. Ok, I'll identify as a troll then. Just need to look up the correct pronoun for a troll...

Once I've got to know someone I will call whoever he, she , zim, zamooth or whatever else they wish to be called if genuinely based on their wishes and identity out of respect for the individual. Until I have got to know them I will probably call them him or her based on the closest sex they resemble and/or dressed towards. Unless they have explained to me on a polite adult manner otherwise.

I don't see it's a big hassle as long as there is some common sense both ways. I'm not going to get into the hysteria about pronouns being another tool to undermine womanhood. It's just about respect and as practically as we can letting people be who they genuinely want to be.

You put a post up calling everyone else bigoted - hate speech from the get go.

If someone has a different opinion to you its insighting hate speech or a thought crime... Rather than accepting others being who they are its hate crime.

Then when you get a simple question you go on the offensive and attempt an insult rather that actually debating it.

Yeah that pretty much shows a ton of arrogance, ignorance and basically this post has only been done purely to cause a fight.

As said call yourself whatever you like, i dont care. But those women who orinally started the feminist movements were at least open minded enough to debate their points without pretending to be smarter than their peers.

Sorry but people who run around screaming "hate speech im getting the police" need to grow up and actually talk it through like the adult they claim to be and not a 5yr old running back to their mum crying because someone wont play with them.

The world is harsh, horrid and cruel and as for enlightening us "bigots" all i can see is you have openly picked fights with everyone who has disagreed with your opinion.

Enjoy the view from your horse your majesty.

As for me being white privileged, that is racist and classist from a feminist... Its also a huge assumption. Ive worked hard my entire life from time actualy in war zones to saving lives now...

So going back to my orignial comment, if a paramedic/firefighter or police officer approachs you in an hour of need are you really going to pick a fight over how they address you or are you going to let them do their job?

"The world is harsh, horrid and cruel" - So we have to make it worse? Where is your compassion? You sit there with your cisgendered, hetronormative, white privilege and lecture me on tolerance when I'm standing on a high horse, stand up for minorities. How dare you.

I would rather die with my chosen pronoun than live a lie. On my chest I have a tattoo that's says "do not misgender". "

Good to know... Please make sure you carry a DNR with you then saying those words. Save some poor sod a lot of time and effort.

Now i am also curious, an ardant feminist pushing gender neutrality... So womens rights activist saying shes not a woman... I know it is the basics but i am getting that right?

Gender Neutral language is about accommodating minorities, making the world a more inclusive, progressive, diverse and smug place. Women are not a minority.

By definition of feminist Id beg to differ.

To support womens rights would be gender specific which by definition goes against being gender neutral... Ergo making the feminist intolerant towards gender neutral, ergo making yourself a bigot based on being a feminist.

So either this is a whole walking contradiction or maybe its the male half of the couple trying to be funny, which is really quite tragic and sad

Shit like this really doesn't help anyone. The chances of you ever running into someone other than trans is incredibly low. It's really not that hard to just address someone as they would like to be addressed. It requires minimal effort and basic human decency to do and has no baring on youre life. Most of you really just need to get over yourselves, talking as if this is going to cause the end of the world. Gender non conforming people make up an estimated 1% of the British population, whilst this sounds like a low percentage, it's a whole lot of people. Just move with the times and treat people with basic human decency, it's really not that hard

Against inclusion? Moi?

You "misalign" me you do!

I'm all for "inclusion" of such peddlars of twaddle. In fact I can think of many ways to practice inclusion with them: there's becoming part of the infrastructure of the next motorway for starters, or including them in spaces surrounded by high walls,,,in fact with a bit of imagination there are many suitable inclusions for them.

"They say, insanity is. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.

I beg to differ. I have just witnessed true insanity.

People who don't want to make the world a more inclusive place?

I'd say anyone that wanted you to use those terms was further un-including them selves from the world, and everything they know. And not only that but detaching them selves from sanity in the process for sure. "

In equality exists in many areas

I'm very much for inclusive fairness

Im rather vocal with respect to unfairness

I don't think it unreasonable to suggest the concept of positive discrimination and extreme counter measures examples can be , not are , can be counter productive with the aim being to have as many humans as'possible join the cause for fairness amongst all humans on all levels

Fairness does not always mean equality , this is sometimes just not plausible or possible

For example let blind people drive

However the aim to treat all with respect , fairness and humanity is a goal I advocate and if I think , a vocal minority would undermine my ultimate goal , for example becoming militant over history not being herstory I'll suggest that's foolish x

Maybe the world as your know it. But what about the world as it should be, with diversity, inclusion and expression quotas for all? "

I'd go as far to put my cock on the chopping board, and say you've taken some illegal substance tonight. If I'm wrong

"Shit like this really doesn't help anyone.

It may not help anyone , but it’s quite funny , and a reminder of what a complete and utter load of crap the whole gender non conforming movement is creating .

Cool, can we do a joke funny sarcastic oh how amusing thread about BB’s dyslexia now and how it’s amusing when he posts a thread and makes spelling mistakes? Nope, probably because that would be in bad taste too.

I might have missed something, but I don't see what BB's dyslexia has to do with this thread "

I’m simply explaining mocking people isn’t something I think is amusing.

Any one that think's those word's are a necessity are fucking bonkers! Be happy with the word's we already have and have had for a Very long time that have already done the job perfectly well thus far, that can be found in the Oxford dictionary.

In what case does one person feel the need to use language like that, I may be ingnorent here and correct me if im wrong. If you don't identify as male, be a female, tell People your a female dress like a female, if some one calls you a him correct them, if they don't respect it don't speak to them, no harm skin lost off the said (females) back as I'm sure she does not want to be friends with a disrespectful person. And visa verse for a female that identifies with a male.

How long have gender neutral prunones been a thing for anyways

We don't need male and female, that's the whole point. Those are social constructs made up to enforce patriarchy. We're trying to dismantle patriarchy and create a more tolerant, diverse and inclusive society for everyone.

I don’t really see what effect it has on anybody else’s life. If someone asked me to refer to them as either “them” or exclusively by their name, I’ll do it. It’s no skin off my nose, and doesn’t affect my day in any way. Why people get so upset about it, I’ll never know.

I’m sorry but for me there are only two correct terms, he or she. There is no inbetween, we are either one or the other and you’ll never find me referring to anybody other than by he/sheor him/her. Anything else is just pandering to the nonsense.

This

I don’t really see what effect it has on anybody else’s life. If someone asked me to refer to them as either “them” or exclusively by their name, I’ll do it. It’s no skin off my nose, and doesn’t affect my day in any way. Why people get so upset about it, I’ll never know."

At last, a man with a bit of common sense."

Stay with it, you bigots. I know you're deeply invested in wrong speak now. But we're here to fix you. Be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

It's sad that when you stand up for social justice, people take personal attacks at you.

I can recommend you some safe spaces if you would allow me to enact some labour on your behalf?

Let's be clear. Jordan Peterson did not object to the principle of calling someone by whatever pronoun they wanted to be called by. Had he, he would've been an arse.

No. He objected to it being made an offence, enforceable by law, to not call someone by their desired pronoun. In his rebellion against such a proscriptive law, he was absolutely right

Maybe you could just take control of all my social media accounts and filter all the negative responses so I can have a safe space the doubles as an echo chamber

"Shit like this really doesn't help anyone.

I might have missed something, but I don't see what BB's dyslexia has to do with this thread

I’m simply explaining mocking people isn’t something I think is amusing.

Who's being mocked? Gender non conforming people or the OP?

Oh my fucking god it's the lady from ed sherrans bangs on about in his song. My jaw generally dropped when I see you're pics

She is gorgeous."

Ha thanks

Please refrain from assuming zir pronoun. Unless they've confirmed it privately to you, in which case I beg forgiveness.
