Who should go - Pogba or Jose ?

So I’ve supported United since I was six , and the current spat between Mourinho and Pogba is clearly affecting the team in a very negative way . So , who should leave ?

I honestly think Pogba as he clearly thinks he’s bigger than the club , and his form is so erratic .

As long as Mourinho is there you can kiss goodbye the hopes of bringing any major homegrown youth talent again! He just doesn't like working with anything other than the finished article

Whilst I agree that one man isn't bigger than the team - but appears both of them think they are.

Pogba can't go until January whereas they can lose Jose any time - so my thinking would be to lose Jose now, see if that changes Pogba's attitude and if not lose him in January.

I have a feeling he may be changing this very soon as Sanchez , Pogba , Shaw and pretty much all the players that are the finished article are struggling under him .

Personally I used to rate Jose but since his second stint at Chelsea he has been poor to be fair, very moody and believes in his own Special One Hype to much, I don't think he is the man to get Man Utd back to where they once were. So to your Question Jose to leave, Pogba can be immense under the right management

That's why I think Mourinho has to go. If it was just Pogba under-performing then I'd understand getting rid but when a lot of players are under-performing you have to look at the management.

I want Mourinio to stay a while longer ,if no improvement look elsewhere .

I'd like to see Zidane there. I think he is a big enough name to command respect of the seasoned players and also to inspire the younger ones. He did a great job at Madrid. I think he would change pogbas attitude. I think all pogba wants Is to know the manager will let him play his own game. When he does that he is inspirational and fantastic.

I see signs of Mourinho doing the same things that he did to us (Chelsea) in his second stint in charge.

It was obvious that he wanted to move to Man Utd when it was obvious that Louis van Gaal was making a pig's ear of things and it was obvious that Utd wanted him. Of course he knew that if he walked away he wouldn't get a red cent so he manipulated the club to sack him so he would get a massive payout. Starting with the disgraceful way he treated Eva Caneiro, followed up by his criticism and undermining of the top players which resulted in players like Eden Hazard, Willian and Diego Costa getting pissed off and underperforming.

I used to love the guy and I'll always be grateful to him for all the titles and cups he brought us buy he's a massive cock who's selfish, arrogant and destructive.

He's doing the same thing at United ... just my opinion but I think he's got his eyes on another job.

What did Sir Alex do in the past?

First Beckham then Ronaldo.

Tough call........

If one player is out of sorts, underperforming, unhappy and making waves, off he goes.

If the whole team is out of sorts, underperforming, unhappy and making waves off goes the manager.

Jose isn't the guy he was when he first landed in the UK. He's changed and not for the better.

I don't think Jose has changed with times in the same way other top managers have.

I read an article a while ago comparing Jose to Pep.

Jose simply wants players who are the finished article.

Pep takes the finished article and makes it even better.....

Jose's style of man management has had its day.

The special one is no longer special in my eyes, been a united fan all my life and was there when they won the treble in 99 best night of my life. Problem with today's players is they think they are bigger then the club (which they are not) and just have a day to the right people they want out and the rumour mill starts in the papers etc! Same with Jose and I agree he buys finished articles with no intention of home grown players, yes there is rashford and linguard but that's not enough, he just tries to buy the league, I say Zindane in as boss, pogba out and kroos, mbeppe in... At least we might be able to best teams like the mighty Derby then...!!

Pogba is a respected and talented player. His underwhelming turnouts are a reflection of how Mourinho can have that effect. He did it to some astoundingly gifted players at Chelsea.

He inherited an awesome squad there and only had to make a few tweaks. And the rotating door that happened for a few years with certain buys that he decided weren't doing what he wanted got glossed over by the existing core that preceded his arrival.

He shouldn't even last his usual three year stint at Man' U.

Jose, of course.

Pogba still has a lot to offer. He was great at the World Cup.

Jose's time has gone. Going one-nil up and then trying to defend and contain is not how big and successful teams play.

It’s rare I agree with you , but I can’t argue with that . It works fir him when he first came over to manage Chelsea . He’s been sussed out now , and you’re right , it’s no way to entertain or play the game now .

What staggers me is the amount of times we’ve had Sanchez , Liengard , Rashford , Lukaku and Martial all on the field at the same time , and we can’t score !

Think yourself lucky.

We've got Giroud who isn't exactly prolific and Morata who couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo and thinks every time he's tackled it's a foul and stops playing...

Following a team from 200 miles away which you have no connection with via the tv isn't "supporting" a football club, by the way.

A player who thinks he's a world football super star...the problem is he needs true football super stars around him to get a bit of a shine out of him.

As I said , wth the team he puts out it seems staggering that we can’t score more goals . It’s hardly a defensive line up , ever .

So the players dislike him , because he blames them . Why shouldn’t he ? It’s their fault . Especially Pogba who only plays well when he wants to . I’ve never agreed with the principle of letting the workers have all the power . A boss is a boss for a reason , and if the team aren’t behind him , I actually think it would be better to shot of them rather than the boss . But that’s way too expensive , so the boss always gets the bullet .

In this case , as Mourinho has a history , I think he may well get the push , leaving us with the job of finding yet another manager . Just like when !att Busby left in the seventies . Such a shame for a great club to have so much of their dirty washing being aired in public this .

Personally in don’t think its Pogba that is the problem, even when so called pundits claim he has been playing shite I think he has played quite well and as he has recently proven in the WC he can be immense.

The problem is Mourinho, he brings so much negativity to the club, other key players are demoralised and performances clearly show that.

He has lost the changing room and it’s time he leaves sooner than later - I have friends who support other rivals and are praying he doesn’t get the sack!

That shows where the problem lies.

No no no, look at the tactics, he has them play deep and conservative. Jose has wet dreams about 1-0 wins. He doesn't care about scoring any more than the absolute minimum number of goals to score. It isn't the players fault, pogba at the world cup was a different player. Lukaku at Everton was more of a threat. Nobody wants to play his boring, conservative style of football. He should go manage a team trying to avoid relegation, that's where his tactics belong.

Jose needs a team to totally believe in his philosophy or it doesn’t work. If you look back through time at all of his clubs, every time a team has totally bought into him he has worked wonders. When they don’t or stop then it doesn’t work. Pogba’s attitude stinks and they should sell him at the first opportunty. One of Ferguson’s strengths was that he was bigger than the club, united now have the opportunity to prove that Jose is in charge and they need to back him. Chelsea should have done the same when they had the chance.

"So I’ve supported United since I was six , and the current spat between Mourinho and Pogba is clearly affecting the team in a very negative way . So , who should leave ?

I honestly think Pogba as he clearly thinks he’s bigger than the club , and his form is so erratic .

Are you kidding? Half the team hate Jose and the other half dislike him strongly. It's obvious why. Everytime they lose, he throws his players under the bus. His giant ego won't allow him to see that it's his shitty tactics that cost them games, but first he blames the ref, then his players, then the weather, then the pitch, then the ballboy, Brexit and the value of the pound before he takes responsibility.

I am a city fan but with Josés tactics you have to be winning or it's a disaster. I would take one nil wins every week if it ment winning the European cup. Or the league every season

Born and bred in Manchester, seen pics of myself as a baby crawling bare arsed on a big flag nicked off the poll outside Old Trafford in the mid 60’s.

I don’t spend much time supporting them anymore, not since they sold out to those yanks. I prefer to watch my fav L1 club instead.

For United, I would get rid of both and try to get Giggs in to manage the team.

"I have seen this question asked 100 times on social media; Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp

Personally both are to blame

Pogba is over paid lazy French twat that thinks he is gods gift to footballing world. Jose has lost the dressing room, because some players are taking the piss!!!!

For the sake of the club they both need to sort it out or leave end off

Probably the best answer so far "

It is well know I am a season ticket holder that goes home and away. Both are acting like spoilt kids when there games console has been taken off them

Grown up sort it out and the club and fans are the most important

The longer they both stay at United the better as far as I'm concerned. (I'm a Liverpool fan) Because at the moment they are shocking, and it makes my weekend when they lose or draw which is more often than they win nowadays.

Excuses, Madrid are a bigger, better, more experienced team. Yes they went in hard but that’s the game. Don’t buy girly players and complain when they get crunched. It’s a mans game and Sergio Ramos is one of the hardest and best centre halves in the world. It was men v boys. Liverpool played well to get there but never looked like winning the game, to suggest otherwise is ridiculous

Being a big club is hard to define. It’s a mixture of success, fan base, tradition and personnel in my opinion. My definition of a big club would be a team that win trophies regularly, that win their league, that represent their country in Europe regularly and have some of the worlds best players playing for them. I don’t think Liverpool have any of those traits in recent times and so are not a big club. They look better the last few months but no one remembers second place

Till that point the game was a lot more evenly matched, the stats show that was a turning point..

Not saying that we would have won with Salah on the whole game but that tackle and it had more to do with wrestling than footie definitely affected the match..

One of those talking points where we will never agree..

Ha ha, don't buy girly players. Does Luke Shaw even remember what colour the pitch is at old Trafford? In my day, vinnie Jones played with two broken legs and a gun shot wound, that was in the league Cup.

Following a big club is not being a proper football fan. Most people who follow big clubs are just mercenaries who just latch onto any given big club for whatever fickle reason.

Following somebody shit home and away; when you've done that you can call yourself a proper football supporter.

Mourinho doesn’t adapt the style of football, he thinks one blueprint fits all, he’s far to negative.

Untied need an attacking manager who will bring out the best in pogba and the other attacking talent at old Trafford.

"Following a big club is not being a proper football fan. Most people who follow big clubs are just mercenaries who just latch onto any given big club for whatever fickle reason.

Following somebody shit home and away; when you've done that you can call yourself a proper football supporter."

U can be a proper football supporter no matter who you support. Following a shit team is far easier and cheaper than following a top team. Each have their place, but u don’t get to choose either way, so anyone who spends their hard earned following a team over land and sea deserves respect, from united to Yeovil

I don't know if your replying my message or not but unofficially LAST season he was the best player in the world no doubt about it unless the bitterness and biased affected your way of thinking

No but it affected the fans of our other clubs that wanted to play in Europe and that’s probably why us as a nation where miles behind when we where eventually allowed back in

Because I have eyes...he scored 44 goals....go on who was better?

You also say it wouldn't of mattered if salah would of stayed on, well if you know anything about footy salah going off changed lfcs game plan and Madrid game plan....our too goalscorer and fastest was going off which meant our game plan was out of the window with our fast counter attacking play....it also meant Madrid could push 20 yards further up the pitch and squeeze the game

Following a team from 200 miles away which you have no connection with via the tv isn't "supporting" a football club, by the way."

He was good last year but not the best, he didn’t even win anything so to compare him with Ronaldo or modric is ridiculous. Liverpool would have lost anyway, they got what the deserved in the end. Good luck this year!

Your.bringing the nation into it lol ...when will the deluded and extremely patriotic England fans realise that England aren't entitled to be a world class team, they will never be world class....look at Brazil the world's most successful national team they don't invest nowhere near the amount of money into football like the fa do yet look at there record. ..most of there players are from the slums.and played bare foot on gravel pitches, so blaming it on lfc fans I've heard it all now it is down to natural ability and genes which England don't have

Its clearly due to Mourinho's tactics

as to why Man Utd are so poor at the

moment as they should be doing much

better than they are with the players

they have not drawing at home with Wolves or losing to Derby in cup but

i hope they have another stinker

on Saturday and West Ham will never

have a better time to play against them

will be interesting to see if Pogba

is selected.

I take a huge offence to that!!!!

I appreciate everyone has their own views of supporters of big clubs. I travel home and away with united as well with England

I have friends that support teams in the premiership right down to non-league. Does it matter who we support; there is always a mutual respect (more or less)

I travel over 6 hours to and back from each home game with united. Why because I love the club. I have evry home, away and third shirt since 96. Why because I love the club.

As a supporter of a big club we are treat like shit. We are just a number to the club they really don’t give a fuck. I can tell you numerous stories about how fans are treat badly.

If you look at league one and championship there were teams that were ‘big’ once, but now enjoying the lower leagues

I won’t deny we do a subset of fans that are glory fans but to a a majority is a bit near the mark

Anyway I am off to be a mercenary and book my train tickets for old Trafford

Welbeck 221 minutes 4 goals.

Sanchez 333 minutes 0 goals.

It’s not hard to see who needs to go the manager is a negative influence.

These players just don’t go stale for a reason.

Up the Arsenal

Proper fan. That's a huge sacrifice you give to your club.

If it wasn't for fans it would all fall apart and 'away' fans deserve the upmost respect .

I suppose 6 hours for a home game is equal to an away game.

The game is about scoring more goals than the opposition, not just scoring goals (something arsenal would have done well to consider over the years). Jose changes the way players play, some adapt and some don’t. United knew what they were getting when they signed him and they went for it, it’s no good moaning now, they need to back him.

There are not many managers in the world that always play attacking football and consistently win (I can only think of one) even fergie used to shut up shop away at certain grounds. Be careful what u wish for as the alternatives were tried first and they didn’t pan out too well.

I’m beginning to struggle with Mourinho too , even though I think Pogba is way out of order . I would be much happier to see Pogba go as it would send a warning out to others who think they are bigger than the club . I thought the same when Best did the same in the early 70s and I was just a kid then . It was somewhat worrying to see the players getting managers sacked , and it seems like this is happening now .

What I fail to understand is how top players like Sanchez can be so bad under Mourinho , and this is why I think that possibly both should go .

There are a team of coaches under Jose who do the bulk of the work so I don't think the blame lands solely at the managers feet but he is responsible, at the of the chain.

When teams succeed the players get the credit, when they fail it's the managers fault, not the players.
