So I put up a pic of me flashing in a pub. I had a glass of beer in front of me. I got a lot of messages and tell am to say its rare to find a woman who drinks beer. It got me to thinking how many women enjoy drinking beer? None of my friends ever drink it. Its always wine or something with a mixer. Ive been told its almost unlady like to drink a beer. Thoughts please.

I drink cider on the rare occasion I do drink. Normally Somersby or Bulmers if there's a choice, or fruity Kopparberg. No taste for lagers or bitters though!

Has anybody been to Peterborough's beer festival?

It's heaving with 300 real ales, craft beers, as well as some gin, wine, cider and takeaway food stalls.

No many lager drinking going on here. Loads of women here supping ale.

I'd have to agree with that.

I don't recall ever seeing a woman drink a pint down here, (except me and my sister drinking a pint of shandy, when I didn't specify half).

Half a lager and lime is common but not pints of real ale.

I used to be a CAMRA member. When I lived in Nottingham I volunteered every year to work the bar on the Saturday afternoon/night at the Nottingham beer festival. We all got paid in beer tokens and when the bar closed at 11pm and they’d kicked all the punters out the bar would reopen again. It’s hardly surprising that there was often no beer left for the final session on Sunday lunchtime

I own a pub in Oxfordshire and we have 6 real ale pumps. A lot of women drink ales, it’s fashionable now especially if you stick the word “craft” in the description.

I have a pic on my profile with a bottle of bud in my hand. All I really drink is beer, much rather a pint than anything else. Always been that way and I'm the only 1 out my mates that has a pint. Not a fan of IPAs or anything give me Budweiser, Carling, fosters... I'm happy

Yeah I'm not a fan of them to be fair but if theres nothing else then I'll make do lol. Luckily my local has Bud on tap so I never need to compromise there
