There is a report today that in the first 6 months an estimated 1/2 billion pounds has been fraudulently taken from bank accounts through telephone and online banking .. app fraud seems to be the new way..the scammers intercept an email from a bone fide company and substitute the scammers bank details.
ouch for those folk.
I don't use internet banking / telephone banking because it opens another door for the scammers. |

I worked in bank fraud investigation for a year. It's huge and all the banks hide it to protect their reputations. That said, a lot of people get taken in very easily.. |
