When you read the first post in a thread and want to comment on it- do you read the whole thread or just skip to the end and say your bit ?

Hiding in the shadows

I skim read.

It annoys me when I read a thread, and see comments, questions etc, thst have previously been asked & answered!

most fundamental aspects

I find myself itching to post as I read through all the previous replies. I do wait until the end. The downside of this, is that I may have missed posts made since I began reading.

It depends on the topic in the thread. If it’s one that I’m very interested in, I’ll read all of it before posting. Although if it’s very long, I may get down so far and just answer the op. If it’s one that I’m moderately interested in, I may quickly skim or skip to the bottom and then post.

If it’s a thread I’ve read previously posted on, I may go straight to the bottom and trawl upwards to see where the thread is going before posting.

Depends what it's about, the subject matter makes all the difference

I do the same, I tend to hit refresh if it’s an interesting and especially popular topic
