A question for our female companions here.
You date three guys and they've each got a great personality. But they're different in the following ways.
1) A guy you don't love, who isn't attractive, but is absolutely loaded
2) A guy you could maybe learn to love, who's very attractive, and relatively set up
3) A guy you're head over heels for, is quite attractive, but hasn't got two pennies to rub together
Which one would you pick? |

I’m literally having a similar conversation right now with a friend, I’m not fussed on the money part but need the love and attraction bit and for him to stand on his own two feet, I have to pick number 4, he doesn’t exist yet though, I think he got lost on the way to the line up, just my luck |

It would be the one who I connect with most.
Physically, mentally and emotionally.
The one I feel most comfortable with, who can be myself with, relax and open up to. The one I can be open and honest with. The one I trust and the one who I think feels the same way about me too.
If it’s none of them, then the one that fucks best till the next great fuck comes along

2. Basically who I’m married to. I did eventually fall head over heels for him quite quickly!
I had 3. when I was in my early twenties. Lazy bastard. Would stay up gaming all night and sleep all day while I was working 15 hours a day to afford the rent. To hell with that. He eventually proposed but I thought I’d be having a child, not a spouse. So I called the wedding off 2 weeks before....
So 2, every time... |

Interesting. I've always been the starving artist type and always connected with girls who prioritised a good relationship and deep emotional and physical attraction above all else. All they want are cuddles, plentiful sex and maybe a nice handbag each birthday and christmas! But there comes a time when they want to build a nest and things like a suitable family home become important. Its never really been a territory where I felt comfortable.
But I have now taken a decision which will bring me closer to no1 financially eventually but sadly I will have make a sacrifice by living in a foreign land for a number of years to do so. It will be interesting to see whether it will change me as a person. I hate the idea of someone being with me only because of my money. My old man was poor throughout his life until he inherited a fortune and it turned him into a total dick. |

Why doesn't no 3 have any money? Compulsive gambler, can't hold a job down, drinker? Struggling artist, principled charity worker?
In the long run you might as well go for love because money comes and money goes. |

So what I really meant to say is, yeah 3 is nice and romantic but is it sustainable and realisitic in the long term? 3 might be a good basis but eventually I think people need to evolve. I think I might have taken my time to delay this but I think it is time I grew up! |

Never needed money. As long as I can pay my bills and have spare I'm fine so it's totally no 3
If I'm head over heels, he's having it whether he's loaded or not |

"Depends what your needs are too. If you are 18 then your priorities will differ to someone who is 28 or someone who is 48."
Very true. At 61 my priorities are very different to when I was younger
