Poor girl. How desperate she must be for money. May be worth pointing it out to someone in authority for her own safety before someone takes advantage.

hehe reminds me of some years ago I was working in Glasgow staying in a hotel in city center.
Me and a work mate left hotel to go find a place to have our evening meal. Was only 100 yards from hotel and this girl stood out and proposition me, I never noticed and carried walking on, work mate says you just got propositioned did you not notice I said no I was to busy talking to you.

In reply to some of these, she wasn’t that awful really, I gave her about £3 change off my dash board and politely declined and she was very polite back. Inciedently ive just received a private message saying I’m thick because of my spelling. Hay ho I geuss there’s a place for everyone on fab. |

Poor woman. I work with alot of women that do this for whatever reason, its really saddens me their life is generally been full of people taking advantage of them so becomes the norm... an its all theyve ever known. Very sad. |

We have a well known area for working girls in our town, what some of us local women do so they have something is we leave boxes with wet wipes, sanitary items condoms in a particular area. Also drop in those MC Donald's coffee cup vouchers (the ones where if you get 6 stickers you can exchange it for a free hot drink). It's just a known thing now in the community like a help box. |

Ill just say the worst thing you can do for the homeless/beggers ect is give money. A coffee, some food, health products , clothing is the best thing you can do.
Majority of the time money ends up in the pockets of drug dealers & funds their flash lifestyle |

It is great when you are sitting at home, feet up, heating on and fab being brought to you via wifi.

The shoebox or carrier bag scheme is widely used to help homeless but also prostitutes of either sex on the streets.
Baby wipes, hand gel, toothpaste and brush bottled water , sanitary pads, socks , gloves, soap, energy bars/sweets put into a bag and hand them to either a person or to a shelter and they will help. Also they need barbers, dentists, nurses who would give a few hours a week to help and anyone who would help at a soup kitchen etc. |

That's not true and it's a myth that does nothing to help the homeless community.
I volunteered for years for a homeless charity and yes, there are many who end up homeless due to alcohol and/or substance abuse but there are just as many who have tragic circumstances unrelated to drugs or drink. Some of these peoples lives can be enhanced by a few pounds which can help them with a warm drink or something to eat or something as simple as a blanket.
Utterly disgusting that in the 5th largest global economy 1 in 200 people are homeless and we have an all time record high of people sleeping rough. Grim. |
