Beards? Pffft.
Scenesters, mindless followers of fashion, trend-followers, late-to-the-party hipsters... where were you 10 years ago? Oh yeah, that’s right - NOT growing a beard because women hated them. Almost bloody universally.
Now though, courtesy of a fashion snowball started by one or two media personalities several years ago, we have had, “oooooh, beards... hot!” rammed down our throats on a regular basis.
As it ever has been, film, TV and the press dictate what we are meant to find attractive and we gobble it up like mindless ruminants.
I wonder how many years it will be before sporting a beard once more is seen as a distinctly unattractive feature to the fairer sex? |

There is a lot of truth in this, though 10 years ago my beard would have been very fluffy |

Apart from those of us that have always been attracted to beards, especially those of us who grew up in the 70’s. |

I salute you. (And your gallery, which is more than enough to keep the blood nicely warmed during the cold weather). |

"I can't grow a beard. But anyone willing to snuggle up on the sofa in front of the fire will be much appreciated
Your Jaffa Cakes will melt."
