i saw them the year i went to glasto... and they were the best best band i saw all weekend.... it was a proper sing-song-o-rama! (see now i am making up words)
so its time i finally as an arsenal fan forgive them for "ozzie's dream" (they never played it live which i fully respect them for) |

An amazingly talented musician, along with Dave.
Only over the next couple of days will many people realise just how many top acts and well known recordings they were backing musicians on- ouside of Chas n Dave songs |

Wow gutted just found out from reading this...legends and cockney rock is a great term... from Totenham to Memphis...great British Blues musicians who don't actually get the credit their talent deserves... that old Piana..very sad. |

Thanks to that and the other spurs song which I remember from my youth I just assumed that they were a shit novelty band. And then around 10 years ago, purely by chance i saw them live and I don't think I have ever been more wrong about a band. Absoultely brilliant and so glad I got to see them a fair few more times.
RIP Chas |

"Great session men as well as great Rock’n’rollers
Played on many hit records in the 60’s including Telstar.
Chas Hodges will be missed"
Very sad news. He was with The Outlaws from 1961 to 1964, and Cliff Bennett & The Rebel Rousers from 1966.
RIP big man. |

Just listening to the Rockney Box Set - a foot tapping sing along afternoon remembering the great times seeing them live...
RIP Chas - I’m sure there’ll be a beer in the sideboard for you in heaven... |
