I like them, but seem to be in the minority.
I think so much of this needs mutual attraction, a wink just says "Hi, have a look, and if you like,wink back"
Better than a "How are you" message

Winks are pointless. The idea is meant to show interest and save time but you might as well just send a messege anyway because 9 times 10 you dont hear back from them soooo.... |

Annoys the hell out of me. A couple of times we have received a wink, looked at the profile, liked them so sent a message saying thanks for the wink, would you like to chat and then they haven't replied. Don't wink someone if you don't want to instigate chat!  |

On other sites I used to get loads of winks every day, used to reply but 99 times out of 100 never got a reply back and have often wondered why. |

I suspect that on some sites they’re system generated from bot accounts to make it look like it’s a site where you’ll get noticed by the ladies and to encourage you to message them. Mostly a tactic used by sites where single men have to pay quite a lot of money for using the message features |

We bulk check them see if they look alright and either wink back or just send a message. Sometimes if we think a guy looks ok, got good veries we’ll wink to open a link so he can wink/message and see if our judgement is right! We’ve had to block single guys from messaging as few cockwarriors seem to think they’re it! Just ruin it for everyone |

I must be one of the few women who use them, they’re a non invasive way of catching someone’s attention, if I get a wink and like the person I’ll wink back, if I don’t it saves having to send a rejection message and getting abuse back, I like the wink system  |
