little house on the praire

Anyone else get emotional on their childs birthday. The year i had my son it had been a hot summer and he was born on the last day. Then overnight the weather changed to autumn.

He was in scuba as he was premature and every day i went to the hospital i picked conkers(still have them). Then the day we brought him home was the day they switched in the dwali lights and we had this tiny baby to care for.

28 years later and hes still my baby. Where has the time gone? Daddy to a son himself.

I always think back over the years and i think my favourite ages where between about 5 and 10 where he still had that wonder of the world but can remember it.

Like all parents we do our best and i know i got some things wrong. But a few months ago we where chatting and he said to me "your my mum your perfect" we are very close and even at 28 he still needs his mum.

Anyway enough of my ramblings. Its pissing down with rain so i shall get the baby photos out

I get emotional thinking about my children. Probably less so on their birthday than other days. I love them to bits and I’m very proud of who they are.

I get emotional on the day my child should have been born.

Thinking what would they been like at a toddler etc

Would have been 7 this year.

Me too Junior was due to be born on 26th March. He/she would have been 13 this year. Time is a great healer but you never forget.

It was my sons 14th birthday 2 days ago..

I don't really get emotional about birthdays but i do get emotional about all the trials and tribulations we have been through together..

Almost losing him at 9mths old

Fleeing a violent husband/father aged 7

Being diagnosed as having ADHD and autism at age 8 but always trying to be the best he can be

And now looking at the handsome young man he is turning into.. so proud
