I'm just sat out on the cliffs. The wind is surging in across the horizon and the sea is roaring in with white churning waves scouring the beach. Meanwhile the dark shadow of a tanker lumbers in the distance, enveloped by the sea's mist. Beautiful

Totally Dash It'd be great to be out on a boat in it getting ripped up by it all. Strapped to the bow like Turner did. Well at least in theory haha

Exactly that! My toilet roll consumption has more than halved since my guest moved out, I'd like to keep it that way

"I had a vision of The French Lieutenant's Woman when I read your opening post."

That's what I'm missing. Some beautiful windswept woman coming over to me through the sea mist. Her dark cloak flapping in the wind and only momentarily revealing her long slender legs and the hood lifting enough to see her ruby red glistening lips

Bouncing around in it in a small boat may give you a different perspective, but yes it's quite majestic and powerful. I like any extremes of weather, and being out in it. One of the few things that reminds me I'm alive..

It sounds so romantic.

In reality she was drenched and shivering from the cold.

I had a trip across to Calais (or Bouloigne) on the SeaCat once. As we hit waves my feet lifted up from the floor (I was walking down the aisle) and it felt horrible.

That's why she's coming over to me, to wrap my arms around her, give her a warm cuddle, and shelter her from the storm

...and to squeeze her bum whilst I snog her

Yeah I don't like that. But a small boat is different. You're more preoccupied with staying alive and surfing the chaos on your small surf board of a boat than trying not to hit your head on the ceiling whilst buying duty free
