I’m having another day stuck in bed. Nothing sexy - extremely sore and sick.
And I’m bored. Fed up of being sore, fed up of being stuck in bed.
So. I have Netflix (well, my dad does and I sponge from him). What does everyone recommend I watch?
I don’t usually watch new things, I get really anxious and just watch the same things over and over and over again. But I’m THAT bored.
I watched Insatiable (more of a teen serious but if anyone watched it - how good was it?!) and a few teen romcoms a few weeks ago, but I like darker stuff usually. I’ve possibly watched ever serial killer series/documentary there is too offer on Netflix. (Probably not, but I’ve warched a fair few).
Any recommendations? |

Generation War is a good one currently on Netflix, it's about five naive young German friends in WW2 and follows their different paths from the early German victories to the crushing defeats towards the end of the war. Subtitled but well worth a watch |

Peaky blinders is top viewing
Taboo was good too"
Nope, haven’t watched it! Honestly my anxiety is so bad that I HATE watching new things (yes, I’m aware it’s a couple of years old now).
I do need to give it a watch though! |

Judd Apatow’s series Love Ian my favourite thing on Netflix. Gus can be a bit annoying, but I love Mickey. Gillian Jacobs who plays her is incredible.
And Master of None, Aziz Ansari from Parks and Rec’s own series is absolutely brilliant. |

Dark Earth Rising - politics, Africa and conspiracies with John Goodman in it.
"
Yes yes yes
All intelligent and in the case of killing eve quite hilarious too.
Don’t know if anyone does amazon but they have so many good things on there
Goliath (series one only)
Sneaky Pete
Preacher
Hap and Leonard
The man in the high castle
The last man on earth
Vikings
Loads of other ones
That should keep you busy for a while |

I tend to steer away from the heavy or darker stuff cos my attention span for TV is minimal.
If you want easier things to watch then the end of the fucking world and atypical are both great (they are the only 2 boxsets I've actually watched to the end!)
A series of unfortunate events is good too. |

Oh I’m unsure if I could watch a series of unfortunate events, that’s a book series I keep going back too and re-reading so I think I’d wind myself up if it wasn’t true to the books |

Can I recommend Outlander to you OP.
It starts about an English nurse just
after WW2 who goes on honeymoon to
Scotland with her new husband but some
thing happens during a visit to some
sort of stone hendge type monument and
she ends up being transported back in
time to the 1740's and the Jacobyte revolution against Brits in Highlands.

Someone may have mentioned it but post was too long to check - yesterday I watched a film on Netflix "Hollywood Stars Don't Die in Liverpool". It was a real weepie and good script and acting.
I recommend it to you. |
