You can only try sleep for so long, well I can. Then if I can't I have to do something

Yep.. Been a chronic insomniac since my late teens. Not your got 3 hours and woke up or went to bed at 10 and still awake at 2.

My brain does not distinguish between day and night. I've hade sleeping tablets (60mg temazepam and lucky to get 2 hours), hormone patches and tablets (really only works for short term sleep disorders, as in not sleeping through. or jetlag). Also been to sleep clinics.

Doesn't help that I now have MS, which resulted in 3 strokes which affected my brain (which was already a wee bit daft to start with).

If I get 4 hours sleep a week, that's good for me, but you learn to deal with it, as you do with most other medical conditions.. there are worse things than not getting a full night's sleep!!

Usually I have no major issues sleeping, but I slept at 8 pm tonight and obviously I was wide awake at 2 am. Now it’s too late to go back to sleep and too early to be awake
