Lost over a stone and a half earlier in the year.
Over summer I’ve had to work more hours and had an ongoing knee problem. I know losing more weight will help the knee.
I have regained a few lb and can't seem to get motivated again ! It’s got me down and I know only I can sort it.
Anyone else had this and how do you remotivate. |

I have this all the time. I don't beat myself up about it anymore though. At some point my motivation will return, hopefully before all my clothes split. Sorry I know that's a shit answer. |

I'm now cycling into my work. It's just a few miles each way but I beat the jams, I'm saving money and I'm feeling good.
Cutting out drink and only eating takeaways once or twice a month is making a huge difference.
Seek a challenge, doesn't need to be huge and go for your goals. |

I had the exact same thing - lost over a stone and a half then gained it all back and more. I eat super healthy 90% of the time but due to a lot of personal reasons I'm an emotional binger to the point where it's become an engrained behaviour. I've found that talking to my friends about it has helped a lot as some were surprisingly in the same boat (even though they don't look it!). Also joining a group like Weight Watchers or Slimming World is a great idea as weekly weigh-ins with a weight loss coach keep you accountable. WW also has a great app with a feature called Connect which is full of the most lovely members supporting each other along their journeys.
Hang in there, I'm sure you'll get back on track |

What motivates us is sex with other people. At our age you've got to put in the effort if you want to get laid, and believe me we still want it.
It's a continual struggle. Self will and discipline will get you there and the reward is the joyous meetings that we have with people of similar inclinations |

There are not many women who can't relate to this...
You need to find your motivation again. Pain is sometimes not enough & you may need more.
With me it's pictures & how i feel in clothes. I've spent years doing ww and sick to death of doing it. Recently investigated low carb high fat, my tum is greatful for not eating the carbs, i hadn't realised how upsetting they were. It's amazed me how easily i've taken to it. My motivation, my 3rd marriage next year where i will not be a fat bride...

I’ve just been through this, not out the other side yet. I started with chronic pain earlier this year that’s still under investigation, but thankfully gone for the moment. So I’m back at the gym but struggling to eat well. I know I’ve put a few pounds back on so I’m determined to lose it again. I did my shopping today and deliberately didn’t buy snacks I like. Got me some nice squash to encourage me to drink more and a few healthy but tasty snacks bars. I’m hoping it gives me the kick up the backside I needed x |

I went to my weigh in Saturday and received my motivation in the form of weight gain.
I went back to the gym today and although my new regime is gentler I felt a lot better for it. I chucked out all the crap in the house that tempts me to eat it and just kept the kids stash - she’s scary enough to tell me off if any is missing aha!
Good luck Bronte wherever you find motivation. You got this |

If you find a magic solution to remotivate for weight loss please share it!
I’ve lost 2.5 stone so far and then a few health issues reared their ugly head. Since then I’ve really struggled to motivate myself, haven’t been to my weight watchers group for 4 weeks. Before that I went for a few weeks where I was just eating crap and having small gains.
I’ve taken a time out to stop putting pressure on myself. I’ve got 2 weeks holiday from work and just going to do exactly as I please. After that I will reevaluate how I feel and plan to go back to losing weight. |

I’ve have been laid up for a month after surgery. To my surprise I have lost weight so I’m going to use this as motivation as the weight has already come off.
I’m going to now up the cardio when I can and Topsy on here has shown it’s completely possible to cut out carbs.
Change comes from within |

God yes me too, lost 2.5 stone from Christmas to June doing slimming world on my own and going to the gym. Went away travelling for work twice and have had a bad cold so now I haven’t been to the gym in 4 weeks and the diet has been all over the place. I have just bought a bike through the cycle to work scheme and I’m hoping that will motivate me to get moving again. I have felt so much better now I’ve lost some weight and more confident. If you think a diet buddy might work give me a shout it might work for me too |

Burn off more callories than you consume.
Quit shugar.
Fill yourself with tuna/salad and other things to stop your cravings
Wake up before 9 and go bed before 12.
Exercise in morning every day but do a nice walk or bike ride after.
You must do cardio and weights. They both work together.

get a new outfit that you love and make sure it's tight/smaller size so you cut back to enable it to fit you . Every time you have food make sure you drink a Pint of water before and after , makes you full and doesn't stay with you |

Eat breakfast.
My breakfast is like bird shit. It's shugarless granola and yoghurt. It's edible.
Try making the other meals into "healthy options"
A marine or Michael Phelps can just indulge on big packs of coca cola and maple syrope waffles because they burn those callories.
If you do 1 hour in the gym or nothing at all you will not be able to eat a diet like Phelps without getting fat.

Change 'losing weight' to 'better health' and step away from the scales ... use measurements instead
Remember health is 80% nutrition and only 20% exercise ... exactly the same as fitness or weight loss |

If it were, there wouldn't be many fat people like me in the world.
Pain is my motivation. But then, I go to bed at night and can't sleep because of the pain and eat chocolate with a cup of tea as I'm watching Netflix.
I am resisting the urge to buy chocolate now and substitute fruit ; which I prefer over chocolate anyway.
Won't take long to shift this 5 stone of blubber |

That's what I do. Sadness made me turn to chocolate this year, so I need a substitute for comfort food. I use my clothes as an indicator of how much weight I'm losing. |

When I lost the bulk of my weight I used Pip n Nut’s maple peanut butter on water biscuits or home-popped popcorn with maple syrup on for my sweet cravings. A stone has slowly crept back on so I’m trying to get back into it too

The biggest thing I found that helped me was to learn to love feeling hungry.
We get brought up thinking once you’re hungry, you need to eat. But if you change your mindset, and think that hunger means you’re losing weight, and the diet is working, then you start to look forward to feeling hungry.
Not gonna work for everyone but that helped me x |

I suffer from depression and its always worse for me in the winter months. It kills any motivation I have for keeping fit. But I force myself to do it anyway. I'll drag myself outside and run for 30 minutes. I may not enjoy it at the start but at the end I do and I feel better because of it. |

I have Greek yoghurt with honey and fresh fruit for my sweet food. The chocolate craving came about after my mum died in August and it's subsiding now, so I should be ok. I can lose and gain weight quickly. |

In the winter our bodies want carbs for warmth and cold food isn't appealing.
I make soup instead of stew and resist dipping buttery bread in it. |

Sugar is what we call soluble carbohydrates that taste sweet.

It’s those things, it’s other elements too. There are a lot of psychological reasons why I and others find it difficult to shift weight. I am trying though and am hoping to lose more in 2019. It’s getting in the right mind set to do it. |

I finally admitted I have an alcohol problem (now clean for three months) dropped nearly two stone with no other changes ..Next 12 months will see us both stay off the booze and eat healthier exercise more. My motivation is predominantly health, but hubby has bought me some VERY nice gothic dresses that are two or three sizes too small...roll on whitby goth weekend !! |

Psychological issues, health complications, access to safe effective exercise, education about nutrition and fitness, lifestyle complications, socio-economic issues, and more.
The idea that we just have to be stronger and overcome our willpower, and that some don't have it easier than others, is as offensive as it is inaccurate. |

The same advice would apply to those who smoke,,drink too much, take drugs.and wish to pack their addictive habit in.
We all had / have choices that affect our lives.
If you really want something badly enough it's achievable....no more on this topic from me. |

I’m a larger lady and it really does my head in when people think just cos I’m larger I sit and stuff my face with chocolate and pies all day! The problem with me is I start work really early and I’m on the go all day so I rarely eat then when I do eat at teatime it’s something quick and convenient. It’s all about preparation. I lost 4 stone on slimming world a few years ago and it’s bloody hard to keep off, some people can eat and eat and not gain but unfortunately I’m not one of them people lol lots and lots of fruit and veg and walking is the key which I am starting today |

I’m on it with a vengeance. I got back in the fitbit game. I’m so competitive with those challenges
I’m eating so much better than I have in an age. Carbs and sugars are being particularly watched. Drinking water or herbal tea and the occasional cup of something hot and milky.
Already I lost 6lb since Friday which includes a post surgery binge on Monday.
Good luck all. If we fall off the wagon let’s just get back on! |

The first skirt I wore some years ago was a size 16.
i decided my weight was something I could do something about.
Now I wear size 8.
That's what keeps me motivated to stay this weight.

Loosing weight is difficult unless you can fit in the diet and increased exercise into your lifestyle. For me that motivation, and I need to loose a stone, is to fit into some of the more figure hugging dress styles that I like, and thus look more feminine |
