Jazz and blues mostly. A day spent not hearing something by Miles Davis is a day wasted as far as I’m concerned.

"I love northern sou, Motown, funk, ska,and then most other music."

Big fan of northern soul, Motown and funk. Never got into ska.

Also love a bit of big band swing, old fashioned blues and a lot of guitar/vocal based stuff.

the right frame of mind -London

"Eclectic taste in music here "

I would be in the same camp -most of what I listen too defies simple classification as i often seek out strange and unusual bands -at the moment, these are some of my repeat plays:

Dreamies -Auralgraphic Entertainment

Wintergatan -Marble Machine

Bongwater -Double Bummer

Phat Bollard -Spare a littel Change

Scott Walker - Tilt

Ennio Morricone - Escalation

Jinx lennon -TRAUMA THEMES IDIOT TIMES

John Zorn - Naked City

permeates through the culture, the total suspicion.”

The Chats: -Smoko

I think you get the general idea...

some of my top songs from the past year so

Daddy Yankee - Dura (REMIX) ft Bad Bunny, Natti Natasha, Becky G

Becky G, Bad Bunny - Mayores

MC Fioti - Bum Bum Tam Tam

Paulo Londra - Chica Paranormal

It would be easier to list the genres in which I don't like many things....

And they are mostly Jazz and Reggae.

Just look for pretty much any kpop song and add areia remix to the end of that. They've done 100s of remixes. I'll leave a link to one remix though to make it easier to find the channel.

Any kind of French house music.. they are just on it vs anything else out there.

I'm loving all the 80s inspired synthwave retrowave chillwave music.. can't get enough of it (if you like this stuff YouTube search for "newretrowave" channel it's a goldmine).

I generally love any electronic music.. underworld will never die off.. leftfield did epic albums.. stuff like that is amazing timeless.

Love plenty older stuff can't go wrong on Fleetwood Mac for example.

Hopefully this makes up for my Whitney and Costner comment in the bodyguard thread

There and to the left a bit

Apart from the manufactured X Factor type crap will listen to anything and everything - first love was New Wave/Punk/Two Tone/Ska in the late 70s/early 80s - from that discovered Northern Soul/Motown and the whole Mod thing (Small Faces, The Who etc) then 60s music generally - lived through the whole Britpop thing (Oasis, Blur, Pulp etc) and right up to date with bands like Muse, Kasabian, Biffy Clyro, Green Day, Twenty One Pilots, Fall Out Boy etc.

Throw in a bit of soul/disco here and some classical there, bit of swing and show tunes too and you get the picture.

In fact the only genres I'm not keen on apart from the obvious are heavy metal and heavy hip hop

I like a wide variety of music styles, from classical music from Wagner, to industrial metal of Rammstein and occasionally some Seattle grunge music or a bit of instrumental like Jean Michelle jarre.

I can't stand rave, dance or popular music as the majority all sounds bloody awful or just a cover of a cover.....

I got into that style by my cousin. 3 years ago i would go down his to chill or for pre drinks before we going out to the pub with his brother and some friends he would put on some of his favourite trap or hardstyle.

When I was younger it was the likes of Yes,Caravan & Focus, wonder what happened to all of them?

Then I went through a classical phase about the same time that Classic FM started, since then I've got into Jazz & Bigband Swing. My current genre of choice is middle of the road orchestral easy listening & music from the shows. Check out the John Wilson Orchestra on youtube.

Yes, amazing that it was written centuries ago and Bach, I think is the greatest composer of classical music that has ever lived.
