Film4 are showing a Studio Ghibli film every day from today until Xmas day.

Studio Ghibli, for those who haven't heard of it before, is possibly the most important animation studios in the world.

Here's the films being shown:

Sat 10th - Ponyo

Sun 11th - Princess Mononoke

Mon 12th - Tales From Earthsea

Tue 13th - Castle of Cagliostro

Wed 14th - The Little Norse Prince

Thu 15th - Only Yesterday

Fri 16th - Whisper of the Heart

Sat 17th - The Cat Returns

Sun 18th - Kiki's Delivery Service

Mon 19th - Laputa: Castle in the Sky

Tue 20th - Pom Poko

Wed 21st - Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Thu 22nd - Porco Rosso

Fri 23rd - Ocean Waves

Sat 24th - My Neighbour Totoro

Sun 25th - Ponyo

Princess Mononoke is a fab film. What a great way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon

For some reason they're not showing Howl's Moving Castle or Spirited Away - 2 of my favourite Studio Ghibli films which I recommend everyone should watch.

Anyone else a fan?

Yup!

However, I find the whole Japanese culture weird.

Love the food though!

Fabby, got a few of them recorded from telly and a few on dvd. Will be good to re-record the ones that have been deleted off the telly, all my kids and my grandson (since he was a baby) love them.

Yes, a fan of these masterpieces.

Seen them all, watched Ponyo what a charming film, this evening.

Watch these and forget that this is animation at its very best telling stories.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Love Studio Ghibli films. I'll be missing most of them because of work but will set aside time for My Neighbour Tortoro.

"All around tea time-ish."

What with watching all these films and the (normal) ones you asked people to recommend, reading books, listening to music, reading & typing posts on here, eating, sleeping, sh***ing shaving showering, working?, driving, meeting, etc.

If Mrs Carambar needs a little distraction occasionally....

I've got no idea what she's up to these days, mate. But I'll pass on your details whenever I next see her
