Ignore it at all costs . They only look down at others from their "throne" or whatever pedestal somebody has put them on .

We have a family member who refers to herself as daddy's princess and grandads princess. Makes me want to vomit.

Probably because some men are daft enough to fall for it. If they didn’t it wouldn’t exist would it!

A lot of men also offer this kind of thing. Not all women can be bought though.

I've encountered it, a few times.

Some, grow out of it, over time, and the reality of life, occurs. Others, well, I know one in particular, who's been a "princess" for many years, and still hasn't smelt the coffee..

Avoid.

On all of them. I cannot abide precious people.

I didn't realise until you posted this that it was a recognised thing.

The person I'm thinking of fits the bill exactly.

My mates girlfriend sees herself as a complete princess, they have the most horrendous rows everytime they have a night out together over stupid things like he's not stood next to her when they go out for a smoke or he's not paying her enough attention because his friends are out as well. She'll start screaming at him in the street or I bars and collapse to the floor sobbing like he's committed some awful crime against her. I honestly don't know how he puts up with it!

I went to college with a girl who had a bad case of this.

She had no solid friends and thought she was so much better than everyone else and deserved attention, guys were stupid enough to give her it.

Last time I heard she had got sacked from her job & her boyfriend had cheated on her so they split up. I wonder if that humbled her.

Everytime it happens I think "surely he's going to end it this time" but then the next day they've made up again. She's 26 as well so it's not like she's a kid. I get on with her well enough socially but there is absolutely not a chance I'd want a girlfriend like that. It's embarrassing when I'm out with him and he's stood there with his head down whilst she has a full on meltdown and nobody knows how to talk her down from it.

Not really, she's not a bad looking girl but he isn't exactly ugly either and he's a decent guy. Maybe it's just when she's had a drink and they have a great home life that I don't see. Her friends have similar attitudes though so maybe it's just a generation thing as well.

My ex was like this, fucking ridiculous behaviour for a grown woman, I blame it on too many Disney movies. Everything would be fine then out of nowhere she would go in a huff demanding kisses and cuddles telling me what to say, how to say it and how to act, even though we were cuddled up on the sofa not even 5mins earlier having fun and laughing together. Its like she would give me shit for not living up to her expectations even though what I was doing wasnt wrong. She also had this amazing ability to turn any situation or any comment into a way of making herself look the victim, I dealt with it by calling her out on it every time she started her shit, then I started doing the same thing back to her causing major arguments till she soon saw how ridiculous it was
