I would suggest that sexuality is irrelevant. I have experimented in kinks for about 18 years and then i pushed the boundaries of my sexuality at the age of 37.
After exploring and taking a few years to think it all through. I realised that my sexuality hadn't changed because I didn't have one, because no one does.
Sexuality is a description and categorisation of tastes and behaviour. Tastes and behaviour can change and most people keep kinks private so how can anyone really know

My impression is that some people have a clear sense of what they are after (type of person, activity, role) that may be ‘kinky’ or not but is quite set. That is what s/he is looking for - and often people are very clear that there is a scenario which they like into which different partners can simply fit (please fuck me up the arse in the woods while wearing a police uniform and squeezing my right nipple... etc.)
And then there are others who are looking for an experience they have never had before - the dom who wants to submit, the married heterosexual who wants a transgressive bi encounter, the couple who are pushing boundaries by watching stuff they aren’t looking to do themselves... and so on.
So maybe there’s more of a difference between those who already know what they want and those who are exploring what new sensations might take them somewhere new. Both equally likely to be gay, bi or straight, kinky or vanilla.
But maybe the only difference is between the people who think there are two types of people and those who don’t! |
