"...is what you have to spend on a stocking filler for a woman.
What would you buy???"
If I was spending 20 quid, I would know her well enough to know whatever I was buying would be appreciated.
Try and make it personal to them or something the two of you joke about.
I am always ribbing 1 of my mates for having legs like a budgie so one year, I bought him a mirror, a bell and a cuttlefish.
Am sure it went straight in the bin but it was worth the £3/£4 anyway. (he did get a proper prezzie too tho) |

If it was a secret santa present for a work collegue i hardly knew, i would probably buy a beauty gift set from debenhams or boots. Or if i knew they were a chocaholic i would buy a box of thorntons...
I think it all depends on if i know them, like the other poster mentioned... if you know them it wil be good to purchase something that is either meaningful or memorable xx |

IMHO, unless one knows the lady very well, buying anything involving scent is tricky.
Make up and other beauty products are also tricky due to personal taste and preference etc...
I would stick with chocolate, as I believe one can never go wrong with chocolate.
That's what I advised my new colleague who is not keen to participate in a departmental secret Santa, as he does not feel he knows anyone well enough to buy him/her something meaningful that he/she would appreciate.

"20 items from the £ shop individually wrapped.
Ah, so real good quality stuff then "
In defense of £ and 99p shops, i bought a bread tin from 99p shop and one from Somerfield. The 99p is still going and in good nick the other I threw out as the non stick peeled. Just cos it's cheap does not mean it is no good in fact most of their products are also available in mainstream shops and supermarkets. |

"Ball gag xx"
Here you go then :
When i was last down in London at a posh hotel, i was in the lift and the bellboy asked which floor?
"Ballroom" said i.
At which point a BBW stood aside and said "sorry, I didn't realise i was squashing you". |

If I didn't know too well it'd probably be scented candles.
Someone you know very much depends on their taste.
Example, someone I know would adore a bottle of Irish whiskey but would put flowers in the bin.
All folk are different.

I hate chocolate. It goes to the nearest person when the giver has gone. |
