BMW, Audi or Merc

Depends on the mood. Like all of them though, albeit for different reasons. I have found the Beemers nice to drive but not sure they look so sharp these days. Driven a couple of Audis and did like them - was a big fan of the A4 and A6 Avants but recently have grown to like the Merc C class and E class estates. And as a small car th3e Merc A class is very nice if not the sportiest perfromer. |

BMW out of those three, I have a classic E30 (geek alert!) with a 3.5 conversion, but we also have a Merc E Class estate for hauling the dogs about in.
Tried plenty of Audis over the years and the only one I liked was the C6 RS6 (Layer Cake one)
But for any German it would be RUF or Alpina followed by Porsche (also have a classic 928 S2) |

BMW sensible people who wouldn't dream of not wearing a condom. Ride for hours.
Audi: for risky bareback fuckers who are quick, and when you look in the mirror they're up your ass.
Mercs think they look good but have difficulty getting it up and always letting you down. |

"skodas probably the best out of those 3 lol
just the name lets it down
Czech company
VW actually "
Skoda are still headquartered in Czech Republic and are listed as a separate company, but wholly owned by VW Group (VAG), not the same as VW Cars, just the same as Bentley are not VW

Got to agree chose Skoda over all of them.
BMW, pay extra for the badge, too small and overrated.
Audi, good spec, but again paying for the badge, top of drivers side seemed to pin me in.
Need CLA, nice car, huge boot, sat nav looked like an after thought blutacked on, joke back seat leg room.
Go for Skoda, better spec for less, more room, huge boots. |

BMW every time
They have that grunt factor, Their bullies and intimidating to look at . My opinion .
Sexy
Powerfull
Pull like a steam engine
523i is one of the best straight 6 engines theyve ever built.
Performance when you need it is on point.
I love flicking mine into sports mode for a quick get away .

I had a Mercedes that I loved for a couple of years but after I got stuck, with snow tyres, in 2" of snow on a very slight incline I retreated back to 4wd.
The Mr has an RS6 and that's a canny nice toy to drive..... and you can fit loads if shit from IKEA in it
I think he loves it more than me |

Had a Merc in my 20s, it was old & beautiful to look at, but drove like a tank.
Recently became a BMW owner, 218i Gran Tourer & absolutely love it.
So comfy, and smooth. Pretty amazed by the fuel consumption.
Have done over 2000miles in the last 3wks, mostly motorways & getting 50+mpg in Eco mode, the sports mode is fun though!
Had to start using the limiter switch as its far to easy to be flying along & suddenly realise I'm way over the speed limit - Oooops! |

Only ones worth having are the m powered ones like wise amg version and the rs models the rest are just boring diesel rep cars it used to be exclusive to own a premium brand German car but not any more most common cars on the road now as I’ve said only the motorsport versions are worth having |

"BMW: self entitled people who believe they are owed a fuck and can't indicate anything apart from how good they believe they fuck.
Audi: for those that talk about risking a bareback fuck who are quick to arrange a meet, and when you look in the mirror they are wearing their mothers nightdress and cry wanking themselves to sleep for not having the nerve to show up.
Mercs: "Proffesshunal" folk who won't share pics "because of their high profile jobs", nust have face pic or no reply."

Currently have the BMW 530e M sport! Amazing car which is luxurious and has the power when I need it.
Audi’s been there done that nice but need updating, although the new A8 is very nice.
Merc well maybe when am 40 and above a nice loaded S class
Currently exploring ideas for a new car for next year |

Of those three, I've only ever driven BMW. The transmission is really nice on the auto 3 series we have at work, and the i3 is waaaaaaaaay more fun than an electric car has any business being.
I've recently procured a 116i, not the fastest in the world but still infinitely punchier than my old 1.3 diesel Corsa! Apart from the fucking clutch delay, I'm a huge fan. |

Had a c63 a few years back, great and shite at the same time. Wouldn't have another Merc. Currently have a bmw 3 series and have had M3's. Just better cars all round.
Audi's are a bit bland.
Out of them all I love my VW Transporter! |

My 5 series is quite roomy "
I orderd a Ford in March, 14wks later I was still waiting.
Order cancelled BMW orderd, better spec than the Ford & £5k cheaper?
Not sure how the badge affects the price?
As for space, I can fit a double airbed in the back & 2 people can comfortably sleep in there.. How much more room do you need? |

Been a BMW fan a very long time....my first car a 3 series...318 E36.
I personally think BMWs handle the road better.
Mercedes are nice but too much body roll when going round corners....the interior is bland.

I think your bias is making you talk nonsense, both are fine cars with the latest technology! There are many who would argue that Mercedes legendary build quality took a serious nosedive during the 1990's- 2000's when they had serious problems with rust when it was a thing of the past for everyone else!
I'm lucky enough to own a 1980's Mercedes Sl and they were built like a tank but then the accountants took over! |

Mercedes-Benz for me. I still hand on heart reckon they produce the best V8s out there.
The AMG GT is sex on wheels. They also in my opinion make the best looking large coupes. Im a Merc man through ans through.
Dont get me wrong, Audi and BMW make some fabulous cars, especially the RS and M models. It all withers down to preference at the end of the day |

There is a BMW and a merc in our house (not literally). They are expensive to put right when the inevitably go wrong!! Dealer only parts, specialist tools etc complete con!

Hear it runs through the VAG range, VW, Skoda, Audi.
Having had an A4 avant as a work runabout, we won’t be ordering another. |

If this question had been asked in the 90's then it would have been BMW every time.
These day we are very much in the Mercedes camp. Our main car is a C220 estate and Mrs has an older SLK Brabus.
We even kept our old C200 estate as our car in Spain. It has now done over 260,000 kms and has been pretty much faultless in nearly 10 years.
Never been an Audi lover. |

Mercs. Styling is all subjective of course but when I got my current car I tried Audi and BMW too.
The BMW felt like a cheaper copy of the Merc, and the Audi showroom nobody even wanted to talk to me..
In the end the car sold itself, it was the only one where I sat in it and went "Oooh, this is nice." 18 months on, I still feel the same every time I sit in it |

So true about Audi showrooms, had some dubious experiences at one in particular, the staff AND customers were rooted waist deep up their own arses. The one a little further away is much more friendly, don't have to wear my Sunday best. |

Oh! Do I have to choose one manufacturer? Can’t I choose a current car from one manufacturer?
If I had to pick a manufacturer I would go for Audi, their RS line is just fantastic, the engines are brilliant, great ‘box, noise and styling.
If I had to pick a singular car, BMW M2 competition. Best car I’ve ever driven and I’ve driven a few! |

Had a similar experience in a BMW showroom years ago. Walked in wearing casual stuff and got ignored for maybe 45 mins. Eventually collared some guy and asked to look at an M6. When he looked at me in disgust I pulled out a cash point slip with my bank balance on and informed him, very loudly that I could afford any car in the showroom there and then. Cash. His jaw dropped and he ran around trying to make it happen. I just told him that due to their attitude I would take my business elsewhere..

The RS3 hatch is a weapon. That dirty five pot is so similar to the original Quattro with its bi turbo. I had one for a little while and me and my mate reckoned 0-60 was sub five and 0-100 not much after. Effortless speed, nose heavy though. |

Before I had ‘responsibilities’ and still lived at home with my grandparents I had two Nissan 350Z’s a 55plate and then the 07 plate which I had chipped, only took it up to 336bh but it just sounded lovely, not chavvy just lovely, was very sad when I had to get rid of it in 2009 but I was pregnant and rolling out the side of the door when I was 7 months pregnant just looked ridiculous. Plus I couldn’t have a car seat in the front and the pram I wanted wouldn’t fit in the back, was just very sad. But I had a baby instead, swings and roundabouts. |

Why are they shit? Never had one bit traveled in C, E and S class and thought they were nice. Just curious "
Sorry to merc owners but have mates who work for them and they say the quality is shit amd so unreliable. |

Masked and Distant |
Sabine Schmidt
BMW - overpriced lack of standard equipment.
Audi - reverse Tardis look big on the outside but smaller than expected inside.
Merc - really overpriced plastic interior, sat nav looks like a blutacked on iPad.
But just my opinion. |

Audi for the SUV
Merc for the S-Class or Amg
BMW for the 3 series
and if it was small city hatchback I would probably go to the golf or polo, for german but maybe go the new peugot or citroen or I dunno any other than their 3 offerings. |

"Merc
The sporty ones look very nice
Anyone got a c63?
I was going to get that one, but got the C class estate AMG instead. You can fit more dead hookers in the boot "
It definitely has plenty of leg room! |
