So tonight England go into a game with Switzerland , hoping to avoid a fourth straight defeat in a row .
Yes , the same team that you all raved about in the World Cup not so long ago are staring a record breaking four losses in a row , with a team that hardly get a look in for their club , yet are playing for their country tonight .
What a stark reminder it will be if we do lose again . A reminder that we are actually shit , and the World Cup really was a remarkably lucky draw and run that we had . |

"Belgium - nothing game
Spain - Officials decisions cost us
Tonight - weak line up
England fans love to be negative "
Not all England fans are this negative. If we lose tonight, so what? I'm still proud of what they did during the World Cup! |

Personally I think were a much better side than what we used to be, I love the way Southgate isn't afraid to mix it up with players who are on the fringes of their league clubs. England did well against Spain I thought we were unlucky to be fair |

We were at Wembley for the Spain game, thought we played very well, only questionable decisions cost us. Still had people behind saying things like “90 minutes of crap” “same old England” the positivity of the summer needs to continue |

England had a good run to get to the semifinals of the World Cup however as what seems to happen to England the first good team they come up against they lose first Croatia then Spain I don’t count the Belgium game as it was a nonething game.Tonight I think they will win but long term they more English players playing regular in the premier league and a personal thing I don’t like 3 centre back system give me 4 3 3 any day. |

So let’s look at the positivity .
We beat Panama who are ranked 69 in the world , and that’s generous .
We beat Colombia , a very poor team , on penalties .
We beat Sweden , who only got through with a play off .
We lost to Belgium .
We lost to Croatia .
We lost to Belgium again .
We lost at home to Spain .
So the fact is that we are nowhere near as good as we think we are .
Maybe it’s because as a wide eyed five year old I saw us win the World Cup , and ever since then we have flattered to deceive . |

You know that were weren't the best team in the world going into the 1966 World Cup, don't you? |

Yes I do , but as a five year old , I figured in my mind that we were .
Home advantage and a team that played together and were the best that the clubs had gave us our only major competition win .
And our best striker was injured , leaving a lesser known Geoff Hurst a chance |

Haven't watched a friendly for years. Nationalism and international football is dying.
As far as I'm concerned it just messes up the league program and annoys the hell out of me. And anyone who pays to go is, in my opinion, an idiot, its no more than paying to watch training. |

Oh so very typically English.
It's a friendly. Who cares. The way England played in the world cup. Even if it was lucky made me and a whole load of other English people extremely proud.
Do i care if we loose to Belgium Spain or Switzerland. Nope |

"Bring back big Sam.
No thanks.
Why not? Only England manager to ever win 100% of all internationals under his management "
What I think of Big Sam is not repeatable in polite company.
And I thought the same before he got "stung". |
