Remedies for wasp stings

Had interesting day at work.

Was quiet so got on roof to clear gutters out.

Noticed wasp nest but they dont bother me so carried on.

Thought there was a more than before around me and horrible little bleeders stung the shit out of me

Had a couple of antihistamines but got about 19 stings including one on my left arse cheek( he was a brave one)

Any home remedies for me to try??

baking soda mixed with a little water to make a paste

NHS says washing the area thoroughly and using ice packs.

Baking soda etc won’t help

Had a shower so nice and clean.

Was hoping for things like vodka and lots of it

Vinegar is on cheers, single guy here so baking soda is a no go

Vinegar seems to be doing the trick.

Had a read and baking soda is listed for wasp stings.

Honey it should help the wound with itching and swelling.

Or you could try a wet aspirin or aspirin paste to the wound.

Baking soda works on bee stings because it is alkaline and neutralizes the mild acid in the sting.

Wasp stings are mildly alkaline so you need something acidic to neutralize it - vinegar or lemon juice will work nicely.

Keep taking the antihistamines for a few days too.

I’m currently on a waiting list for de sensation treatment to stings. Horrid creatures

I’ve been in bed most of the day got bitten in bed last night and been suffering flu like symptoms most of the day and felt crap.

I was told to rub vick on and it’s taken the swelling right down and the hives are starting to disappear.
