The only way to drink whisky (whiskey) is neat or maybe a drop of water, spoil the taste with anything else  Same as Port and Brandy no mixers in them either |

Port I would drink straight....Brandy not very often but maybe in a cocktail and I couldn't drink whisky straight!!! |

depends on the whisky - a good quality Irish is fine with a little ice (just 1 cube no more) - average quality Bourbon like JD is better mixed - same goes for an low to average scotch - a good quality blended scotch can be d*unk neat, but single malt should always be d*unk with a splash of water (and NEVER ice) |
