So as the majority are aware it's 11th September and the anniversary of the attacks in America.
What was you doing on that day?
I was being collected from school with my dad in a rush.
I walked through my door to see the second plane hit tower 2. I was only 10 I thought the world was ending. |

I was at work, and like most people was watching events unfold on tv, including the second hit. I remember everyone thinking it was possibly an accident at first (after the first hit) - the real ‘shock’ really hit home after the first tower collapse |

I'd not long dropped my mother off at a local airport and was walking around Currys looking for a new tv and the whole shop watching events in the tv department in stunned silence.
Unreal day in history. |

I was in a meeting with clients and then driving back to the West Midlands with a couple of colleagues. We had plenty to discuss so in the car we didn’t have the radio on so we were completely in the dark.
I remember dropping a colleague off at his home then driving past a Holiday Inn and noticed that the flags outside were at half mast, I thought that the Queen Mother had died. It was only when I got home and switched a TV news channel on that I discovered the true horror of what had happened. I think I watched the News coverage all night, sat glued to the TV in utter disbelief at what had happened |

I got home from work & switched the TV on
"another disaster movie" I thought to myself.
I had a shower, got changed & came back downstairs.
Turned the TV back on, and watched the same scene I'd seen 15min earlier, bit confused
Flicked channel, there it was, another channel, same image.
That's when I realised it wasn't a cheesy 70s Film & the full horror of what was occurring hit me.
It was so quiet at the school gates that day, mums waiting for their kids, so many people in shock hardly able to talk.
It was my friend & neighbours birthday too.
There was no laughter thst night either as we all sat in her conservatory. |

I was three and a half and my mum had just picked me up from nursery. She had kept the tv on by accident and we came home and witnessed a plane hitting. I thought the world was ending, my mum sat on the chair sobbing and I remember popping a teabag in a bowl and filling it with water, trying to make her a cup of tea |

I was in school all day and nobody knew anything and no teachers mentioned anything about it, didnt know till we all got home and saw it on the news. That morning an old building across from the school got demolished and we were all stood round watching it fall at what would have been around the exact same time as the towers got hit |

I was asleep during the day prior to my Night shift and hadn't switched on the news on TV whilst getting ready for work.
But coming downstairs from my Live-In flat, I found the whole entrance lobby, Restaurant and Bar were all packed but eerily quiet as 300+ people watched in silence on the TV screens we had in those 3 areas, as the events unfolded!
Those screens remained on all night; work was so unimportant! |

I was at work when our head of communications came into the office, white as a sheet. He said a plane had flown into one of the twin towers. We all turned on our screens and watched in horror as the second plane hit. |

I had gone to visit my aunt and uncle with my 4 week old baby. They are the sort of people who have the news channel on constantly. We just sat there in utter disbelief.
My best friend had her first child that day. |

I was on holiday in Spain with my ex and my little girl. He called me to come in from the pool into our apartment - no idea why at first - then I saw the tv! The rest of the day and night was eerie in the hotel complex and by the pool! The pool was empty as everyone was glued to CNN, dinner was hushed, and no-one went to the entertainment!
After that we were all just waiting for a massive attack on London or Manchester! |

I was sat with 6 Directors in a Board Meeting discussing arranging a golf tournament with the international subsidiary companies. The phone rang in the meeting room, then the television was switched on and we all watched in silence, horrified. We all left work early that day.
It's my baby sisters birthday today. I have no idea where she is. It's always a sad day for me. |

I was in French class and a teacher ran in and turned the tv on and we all sat there watching just as the 2nd plane hit.
My kids school is doing a 2 minute silence today for it so I've had my 7 year old asking questions about it last couple of days. |

Was in work. Popped into a neighbours house to help him move his freezer and he had the TV on.
Went back next door to work and had it live on my pc with everyone watching it for a few hours.
Couldn't believe it wasn't a little crop plane |

I was having an afternoon nap with my son who was 10 months old at the time.
I was on the sofa and the telly was on, I thought I was dreaming initially with what I could hear. Opened my eyes and saw the 2nd plane hit.

"I was in collage aged 17, hit me like a brick in the head, total miss belief "
I remember when they announced that flight united 93 had been crashed and my mother just broke down thinking this was it. WW3.
All aboard that plane were heros in my eyes. |

"I knew nothing of it until I got in from work and saw it on the telly. Spent the evening watching it all in just a state of shock. "
Was working, but in a side room, alone all day. Was wondering why the Internet wouldn't load (overloaded I realised later) and a workmate phoned later and mentioned it. |

Driving home from Manchester after having had a night out with customers. Had radio on and they started speaking about a light aircraft hitting one of the towers in a terrible accident, then more detail came through. I got home around 45 mins after the second hit and sat watching the tv dumbfounded as to how it had happened and wondering what else was coming. |

I was picking the kids up from school when it came in the radio. I thought it was a light aircraft at first but then the second one hit. I rushed home to watch it on telly, I was glued to the telly for days after just watching it happen over and over. |
