I bet there's a calorific difference between purposeful walking (walking from a to be) than just completion of steps (milling around as duties of your shift dictate). |

I walk miles each day, but tend not to count.
I recall watching one of these science-made-simple programmes aimed at teenage kids.
Walking a mile or running a mile - which one burned most calories.
So they got two people, wired them up and did a test.
There was very little difference between the two in terms of calories.

True but it’s the hart rate that’s more important as you in running it will be much higher therefore more good for you |

But it depends more upon how far you walk!
If you walk the same distance at a faster pace, then you just walk for less time - you've still used the same amount of energy to move your body over the same distance...
