Does anybody partake?

How and/or why did you get into it?

How long do you spend each day doing it?

What do you get from it and has it changed anything about you?

Yes. 20 mins twice a day. I'm calmer and can focus better and sleep better.

Love it !

Look for local groups in your local paper courses are available , then you can just self meditate. I've meditated everyday at some stage, but generally when I've felt low it gives a burst of energy and clears away the bad vibes

I've always wanted to try it. But my mind wonders too much. Any advice?

I think I could really benefit from it.

It takes practice as I’m a massive overthinker. I went to a half day class the first time. I love things to do with the power of the mind and was hooked.

I meditate using the mindfulness technique and it's a really useful way to relax and calm the mind xx

That's where I'm at. I have trouble focusing which I think in turn makes me more stressed than I need to be.

They talk about different subjects and a few guided meditations. I can’t do it on my own. I like going to the temple etc and coming out refreshed. I went to some good ones in Hong Kong whilst there on love, anger and attachment. It was interesting to realise the difference between love and attachment. It’s the reason I got into meditation, to detach myself from a Buddhist guy I was casually seeing. It worked and we are now good friends.

It works if you don't work it

Most techniques I've tried have benefits

Transcendental, Autogenic training, Headspace and John Kabat Zinn's methods.

Regardless of the individual meditative experience, the intention to meditate,be it sitting walking or active is benificial. In my humble opinion.

Reward for the behaviour not the outcome comes to mind .

Headspace free 10 mins for 10 days is a good place to start

No, I just get very d*unk and don’t remember anything. Although I’m very active during that time, making a right tit out of myself.

Every day, alongside my yoga. It’s more mindfulness: letting the thoughts flow in and out. I do mediate within poses too: seven minutes holding a difficult pose can quickly clear my mind.

Give me an hour and I’ll be throwing my mat down and doing just this.

I used to do a form of meditation involving the chakras and I had some really profound results from it. I've been meaning to get back to it. Thanks for reminding me

I want to try it, I've listened to guides online but I have no idea if I'm doing it correctly.
