United's trophy cabinet speaks for itself over the past 20 years. Nobody can lay claim to the achievements Fergie has made in two decades of sitting at the very pinnacle of football. Even Barca only won their first CL title in 91-92 and then didn't win it again until 05-06, 08-09, 10-11, and the last two of which they beat... who was it...oh yeah, United.. not Arsenal (beaten in the final by Barca on 05-06), nor Chelsea (who lost the 08-09 final to... oh yeah, United)..
Not too much to say about City here as they haven't even featured in a CL final for ... EVER.
And as for Liverpool, well, apart from the 04-05 win against Milan, they haven't done sod all in Europe either.
All in all, I'm still a dedicated and happy United fan and we'll soon get over this little hiccup, and even if we don't win anything this year - write us off at your own peril. |

"nor Chelsea (who lost the 08-09 final to... oh yeah, United)..
On a technicality "
Yes, you're correct, John Terry slipped on a piece of loose earth that just happened to be located three inches behind the penalty spot... Although everyone else just happened to miss slipping it on it, technically. |

I honestly don't think Chelsea will ever have a better chance to win it now. Our best chance was in 2009 barring a curious refereeing display against Barca in the semi at The Bridge.
Man U were poor in the final against Barca and in my opinion Chelsea would have beat them. |

I'm pleased in one way that both Manchester teams are out, on the other hand if it happens next season we could end up with reduced revenue and only 3 spots for English teams the following season, does feel good though |

"Due to Manchester United and Manchester Citys untimely and unexpected exit from the champions league there is to be a minutes laughter before all premiership games this weekend....."
Would that be at all the Premiership clubs that are not good enough to even qualify for the CL, let alone get knocked out of it?

i support birmingham for my sins ...yep we play in the cathedral of tears tbh i have never understood the hatred of other teams,i mean you can support who you like ,i support the blues as my dad took me down when i was 6 yrs old and it just seams natural. i dont hate any other team ,,,even the villa ..is it jealousy or what,i dont just dont get it i understand friendly banter between rival fans ..to me once a brit team plays in Europe i dont care what competition or who ,my allegiance in that competition swings to them ,no matter who i support ...it just seems logical to do that ...so for me hard luck united and city.I am sure you will be back in next year tho . |
