Exercise tips and rationale please.
If you start a gym, be aware the staff have varying levels of qualifications, therefore dietary advice may only be suitable for people who do not need specific advice for certain health conditions. Don't be afraid to ask them their qualifications. |

Or ask them to source their evidence and whether they have critiqued/analysed the research and conclusions. Just to let you know that NICE guidelines are evidence-based and do share their resources online, much is from the Cochrane database and use meta-analyses and systematic reviews (in English - analyses of multiples of research).

I do actually agree with you. As far as exercise is concerned, i only know general stuff and what works for me and will take advice from gym instructors - just not dietary advice |

Eat less than you were doing for a month, exercise for a month, review progress, adjust accordingly, repeat
Unless you have anythimg more specific to achieve than weight loss and getting fitter I'm not a great believer in PTs except for motivation.
Use my fitness pal to Nlayze food intake and macros
Or you could make it so much more complicated and demoralising. |

It's likely easier for you to stick with if you pick something that you enjoy.
My opinion is that exercise alone is not a great way to lose weight. Also, beware of yoyo dieting, as it's likely unhealthy.
My tip from when I was low, following family loss, is to have a regular time allocated for exercise and to still go, if you don't feel in the mood. Continuing with the schedule, even if you were to only look around, cements it more into your life. |

I lost quite a bit of weight just from eating more cleaner which meant drinking only water, eating fruit every day, vegetables and not snacking. I also ran for 20 minutes everyday and did a few sets of weights afterwards. |

My tip is if you’re scared of stepping into the gym contact your local council gym. They often have free inductions or trial offers. They will help you figure out the equipment and even make a training plan. The added bonus is that the clientele tend not to be body perfect with the same worries about you. No one looks good sweaty and red. You’ll be in good company. |
