As the song goes, if I knew you were coming, I'd have baked a cake.....
Just about to get the pinny on, and get baking, just cos I wanna lick the spoon 
Deliciously tarty lemon drizzle, fruity flapjack and some melt in the mouth brownies.

oh my, don't they always look so divine? I tried one once, it was delicious to eat, offensive to the eyes hehe.... my baking is more homely |

Got some slimming world dessert books that have some surprisingly nice recipes in them.
Have adapted a recipe from one to make a black forest gateau (ish) that i've worked out to be about 200 cals a portion and is a popular after dinner pudding for guests and hubby alike. I've also made a white choc and ginger cheesecake, and some lemon & blueberry individual cheesecakes that have gone down well that are a similar calorie count.
Made some really nice breakfast bran muffins, chocolate and apricot brownies, blueberry muffins and a weetabix cake that have all been really tasty and about 100 cals a portion. Ok portions aren't huge but I feel at least I can have a little bit of something nice with a brew even when I've got my being good head on.
Even made some for a choir trip to beamish a few weekends ago and my choir mates' kids were loving the brownies so can't be bad! |
