Just so you know.... Yes I will be discussing this with my Dr but it's Sunday and they are not there. Please don't tell me to go to the Dr.
Anyone had any experience of the above? I was out yesterday walking round some woods and notice that a patch on my right upper thigh (just under my hip) felt numb.
It went off after a bit after sitting down while we had dinner.
Thinking about it it has happened a couple of times before.
I did a bit of googling and seems that being fat (as I am) and diabetic (again as I am) can be causes of it and I am trying to control high but that's obviously not an immediate fix. Just wondered if there were any stretches etc to ease it off when it happens. |

"Is the thread title definitely what you've got? Mer.. par.. can't spell it sorry. I Googled it for info.
Could it be a trapped nerve? Does moving help?"
Well it's what fit the symptoms the most when I googled lol like I said, will speak to my doc in the week though
Seems to bought on by walking or standing about. |

Pilates. Google basic stretches for your spine and do them everyday or go find a local class. Will change your life x. |

"From the research I did it seems it is a trapped nerve though. "
I too suffer from this and have had two nerve blocker injections one in the thigh and one in the back. Unfortunately neither cured the problem and have been told just to live with it |

I often Google symptoms nowadays with at least a two week wait for non urgent appointments it's easier.
I can only tell you of my experience. I have permanent numbness in my leg and foot due to nerve damage caused by spinal stenosis. This might not be what you have though. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause numbness as can a trapped nerve or many other things.
Try gently stretching your muscles out by crossing your legs and just stretching a bit further by pushing your knee across with your hand. |
