My only child, daughter was born Christmas day  . It used to be hard to organise childrens parties for her as a child because all the activity places in pubs would stop holding them a few weeks before Christmas. We did wonder about having June parties for her but it never seemed the same. She is 21 this Christmas Day and is having her party on the Wednesday before. Then we are celebrating it again as a family Christmas Eve and of course Christmas Day after dinner. She has never missed out from the family for having a festive birthday |

mine is early january and have always had joint christmas and birthday pressies. i hate my birthday when it is, no-one wants to go out, and have no money. i buggered off to caribbean for my 40th. |

Can I take a rain check on that as when I was a child it was pants but when I had kids from the age they were old enough to understand and could buy me a card, it got better as they make it a proper separate day, when I was still at an age to go clubbing my favourite place was open but occasionally it wasn't and had to go to the 'kiddie' one now I don't care about that, either way, thanks to the kids I think I will stick with Boxing Day thanks all the same |
