"It's new phone day tomorrow and I've been looking over the options available to me.
All of a sudden. U phone has started to run slow and freeze.
It's like it's aware of its fate "
My last one jumped down the toilet and fried itself the very day before my new one was due to arrive. It took everything with it, pics, numbers etc. Keep an eye on it tonight. It may have wicked plans |

Apple were apparently slowing phones down when the batteries got older to help them stay charged longer. |

What Apple were doing was widely misunderstood though. The battery tech meant that as they aged, it could result in increased chances of the phones crashing or freezing when the battery was under more stress from more resource hungry apps. So it was done to reduce the chances of that happening.
They should have been more transparent about it though, and they have made that optional and you now can switch it on or off on the settings. |
