I know this is not a cure for your present plight but I can recommend Pilates as a way of helping to improve core muscles and flexibility which helps to minimise the chances of this sort of thing happening. I am 66 and have been doing it for 7 years with a qualified teacher. I am as flexible and able to do advanced exercises as well as the women in the group who are all in their 40s.Doing it in the presence of shapely ladies in leotards is another bonus! |

I swim a mile 4 times a week my core is fine |

Update:ass muscle still hurting but easing off,and just to digress slightly,has anyone realised when women het older they talk a lot more

You can say all that again. I have had a severe back injury but Pilates keeps me flexible and the pain at bay.
